Anyone delaying TTC because of Coronavirus?

Effects on pregnant women largely unknown and most coronaviruses like any high fever are the most harmful in the first trimester....
I'm concerned.

Me! Because I get hg and may need hospitalising so could be really compromised. I've just turned 40 though so it's really crap in the sense that I don't have time to waste but equally don't want to deal with one serious illness on top of another

Yes we will, unfortunately. I’ve agonised over this decision and spent hours looking into all the available studies out there, and even though it would probably be ok, I’m generally quite anxious, and wouldn’t want another thing to be worried about in pregnancy!
Plus I’d be worried about not getting enough exercise or fresh air, mental health while on the lock-down, and the state of the health services.

That said, it would probably be ok anyway as objectively the risks from the virus itself aren’t massive for the mother and the baby based on most research (although there’s not much of it yet), so I’m keen on hearing other views on this!

As now I can move on to worrying about whether the epidemic will continue for a year and then we’ll miss our chance of having another baby... 😖🤦‍♀️

No, I'm not. I'm still actively TTC. But I don't ovulate anyway so chances are slim in the first place.

It's so tricky...

So many thoughts and concerns but when you've been struggling it's hard not to keep trying at the same time on the chance it may happen.

If I do fall this month I'm lucky I have been told to work from home so in a sense it's good I can hide from the first trimester symptoms and isolate myself from risks but at the same time we just don't know how long it will continue for....

I was due to start, after having waited 3 months for Zika risk to go away, but I think I might delay a bit to see how this pans out. My main worry is that I wouldn't get the same level of care as normal.

We're not delaying I'm 40 1/2 and we've already been trying for 7 months so delaying would probably stop us altogether.

I’m worried about not getting the level of care too. I’m due to test tomorrow so I’ll see what happens. If it’s negative then I might wait another cycle, even though I don’t really want to wait.
Worried though that there will be midwife shortages etc

Not deliberately. But was waiting for some tests and I don’t think I’ll end up getting them as it’s non-essential. Rather sad at the prospect of a very long delay.

I think we will delay. Been TTC for two months with no luck and will hold off now until May and reassess then.

I don't want to be inside the entire time and I want to make sure I can get reasonable health care which I'm not sure I will at the moment.

I'm delaying. I'm scared to bring a vulnerable baby into this when we don't know how bad it's going to get and how long it's going to last. I know they've said children are least effected but I daren't risk it, I'm terrified enough for my toddler let alone a newborn (I do have severe anxiety though so my feelings may be on the extreme side)

Yes and no. Not actively trying after this cycle as it's been a tough ride so far. But as we've been trying a while we aren't going to prevent. Choice was made with or without corona so the virus hasn't changed our mind. Although looking unlikely it will happen for us any time soon anyway
