Using CB "pink" sticks in CB digital OPK

Hi all - hoping someone is in the know.

I've almost ran out of test sticks for CB digital OpK test (the purple wrapper ones) and have been getting flashing smiley faces the past two days.

As I only have two sticks left, I wanted to check this evening as had some pains which makes me think ovulation is happening. So I used some left over pink wrapper sticks from the basic CB Opk kit. As far as I remember the pink wrapper sticks only detect LH surge, yet I got another flashing smiley face.

Anybody any ideas? Am I still flashing smiley?

Appreciate any insight anyone may have.

Did you use them in the purple holder? I'm not sure they are compatible in that, and I think (may be wrong) those purple ones stay flashing until static is detected x

Hi @AnxiousAnnie86 thanks so much for reply. Yes, I used it in the purple holder.

That makes sense re the flashing. I still have two purples left so will test as normal
Tomorrow and hopefully static will show before I run out!

@MimiArm are the pink ones the in the 2 day OPK or the 4 day? I found the 2 day one showed I didn't ovulate at all. But the 4 day one showed me flashing smiley faces for around 4 days, then a steady smiley for the LH surge. I tested once in the morning until I got flashing, then twice a day until I got the steady smiley. HTH :-)

That's possibly why, I would think it wouldn't work! Hopefully you will see static soon! I only had two days of flashing last month! What cycle day are you now? I just got a flashing today I'm on my on CD10 and ovulation isn't predicted for another 8 days! X

@jazzibelle @AnxiousAnnie86 Thanks both! It was the 2 day pink tests that I used this evening (but used my normal purple one this morning). I will go back to my last two purple sticks tomorrow morning and the next day and hope I get static before I have to buy another box.

I'm on cycle day 14 today so should ovulate any day now. This is just my 2nd proper cycle since coming off mini pill. The last two cycles I ovulated on or around cycle day 15/16 but I've been feeling short sharp crampy pains down low the past 2 days.

I've had a short luteal phase the past two cycles (AF arrived 9 days post ovulation) and 26 day cycles so I was hoping ovulation would happen a bit sooner this month so I would have a longer window after ovulation!!

Also started acupuncture two weeks ago and have had two sessions so far. Every little helps (hopefully!).

How long have you both been ttc? X
