14dpo. Af due tomorrow, this month I promised myself I wouldn’t test every day... I last tested 5 days ago and nothing on the test.. but this morning on a frer the faintest Of faint lines has appeared when I hold up to light (I do this to every test lol) is it to late for a chemical? Should the line be darker this close to af? Oh is texting me all morning asking what the test says and I don’t wanna get his hopes up just yet ... anyone any experiences with successful pregnancies with such faint lines at the beginning?

That looks positive to me Smile, mine looked very similar to yours and I'm now 12 weeks

maudspellbody · 09/03/2020 14:54

I usually can't see faint ones on these threads when others do.

However, that one is as clear as day to me.

Thank u for the replies... it’s annoying me trying to hold out to test again tomorrow.

I can see a second line but I would go out and buy a clear blue digital test so no second guessing. Good luck!

Hey guys sorry for randomly posting on this thread!
I’m 12dpo and have taken three tests all with faint lines, however since then I’ve looked at reviews of both different tests I used and so many people have said they got false positives. Is it possible all three tests I took could be false! Very vey confused
Please help! Thanks in advance Grin
The brands used were freedom strips and the Tesco pregnancy tests

lucymagoo · 10/03/2020 19:43

@2020wish I just took a test and mine is the same! A little paler than yours but definitely present on the top and bottom. I'm going to take another test in the morning, fingers crossed for a stronger result for us both, please keep us posted

Bluewater1 · 10/03/2020 19:50

@2020wish
What test did you use today? And was it with first morning wee?
FRER is the most sensitive test, more so than Clearblue so sometimes a FRER will give a true positive when a CB will stay away negative because it needs a higher level of HCG before it registers a positive.
Fingers crossed for you

2020wish · 11/03/2020 10:34

Both tests I used was frer. And both fmu, good luck to u, let us know how u get on x

@2020wish have you retested since your BFN?

2020wish · 11/03/2020 18:33

Yes I tested again today with another frer and it’s a negative again. Feeling very guilty as I’ve been in the middle of a house move requiring a lot of painting and glossing and working flat out as a nurse ontop of it so I feel I’ve over worked myself and caused an early miscarriage. Bleeding heavier than what I usually do on af

@2020wish I'm the exact same boat, I don't know what to think. Getting a line like yours but never within the time frame so is it positive or not? Fingers crossed you're is still there but just not strong enough of a line yet, I doubt fumes would have any effect so try not to worry

2020wish · 11/03/2020 22:37

@lucymagoo fingers crossed for you. I def think I’m out of the game this month x

@2020wish

When you say the test was negative 'again', do you mean a faint line? The first pic you posted has a very pink line on it in my opinion. Does it look the same as the first one you took? X

BelleBox19 · 12/03/2020 09:14

So sorry OP, I didn't see the comment about AF showing :(. If you're still getting lines even with bleeding then you should speak to your GP x

2020wish · 12/03/2020 10:02

@BelleBox19 AF came and I tested again and had no second line what so ever then I tested again the following day and again no second line. :(
