Top 2 Sunday am & pm
Middle 2 yesterday am & pm
Bottom 2 this morning & this evening, I’m only CD12 so wouldn’t have expected a positive this early, it took about 7-10 mins to get that dark. TIA

Yep

BuffaloCauliflower · 25/02/2020 19:08

I would probably call this positive yes. But CD12 is when I generally get mine as I have slightly shorter cycles.

Livingmagicallyagain · 25/02/2020 19:10

That seems fine as you'll ovulate CD 13 or 14, about average!

Bugger that’s what I feared, didn’t want it to be positive as OH away till Thursday, I’m new to using these one step strips. I usually have 30-31 day cycles, maybe I’ve always ovulated a bit early & have a long LP, which would mean I’ve completely missed the window every month. Urgh I’m so annoyed

@sh84 it does look dark however I would be inclined to test again tomorrow A.M & P.M as it may get darker. There’s an app called “premom” which allows u to scan your ov test & it monitors when you peak x

sh84 · 25/02/2020 19:15

@Livingmagicallyagain I think I ovulate quite quickly as when I used CB digital OPK I had a negative, positive then back to negative the next day so not got much hope for this month already. DTD Sunday morning before he left & he’s not back till thur night

Jump on him as soon as he’s back!!
You never know!

Try tending if you really want to pinpoint ovulation. Very helpful.

sh84 · 25/02/2020 19:22

@A08x yes I’ll keep testing, I’ve got loads of strips as was planning on testing am & pm CD10-20, I’ve heard of premom, I use clue to track cycles & it’s always been spot on with AF therefore thought predicted ovulation would be accurate, the cycle I used CB digital OPK I got the positive on predicted ov day & a negative either side so have just gone off app since

@Livingmagicallyagain yep been temping too. Trying to think of a way to get him home tomorrow without sounding crazy. This is my chart so far, didn’t put in yesterday’s temp as I took it a lot later than usual

I’ve done 2 more OPKs this morning with FMU & SMU & they are both darker than control line. Feel like I’m already out as OH won’t be back till tomorrow night, feeling slightly crampy today too so I know ovulation is imminent or happening right now but it looks like I’ve missed the boat once again

Hi @sh84 you’re not out! An LH peak means you’re going to ovulate in the next 24-48 hours, not that’s happening right now. If you DTD tonight you’re still in with a good chance of catching it

sh84 · 27/02/2020 07:06

Thanks @BuffaloCauliflower I’m not so sure though, my temp has shot up to 36.23 which is quite high for me & OPK looks a bit more negative. Top 3 are yesterday’s, FMU, SMU & evening, bottom one just now after 10mins. I took my temp again 5 mins later as couldn’t believe how high it was & it was 35.80, I hadn’t moved out of bed, thought it was strange how it had dropped in 5 mins without me moving

What do we think of this OPK, positive??

You should only count the very first temp you do, even moving in bed is moving.
I seem to get my surge right before ovulation as well, I think it’s less than a day, but I’ve been temping for years (as contraception) and only now adding OPKs, and they seem to slightly disagree with each other by a day or so. Really the only option is to try several times across the whole fertile period rather than trying to get an exact day, especially as you want the sperm there waiting.

sh84 · 27/02/2020 07:21

@BuffaloCauliflower we DTD as much as possible but OH works away a lot, DTD Sunday before he went, Will obviously do it tonight when he’s back, wasn’t expecting to ovulate till the weekend so was quite hopeful this month for him being home when ovulating but my body had other ideas. I’m CD14 today, what do you think of today’s OPK, I only started temping last month but I’m pretty confident with it, only use the first temp, take it at the same time every day, don’t move before taking it etc

OP posts:
BuffaloCauliflower · 27/02/2020 07:33

I would probably count that OPK as positive. Ovulating CD14-15 is normal for me and what I’d usually work with, but body’s do random things and we’re all different. Fingers crossed for you.

sh84 · 27/02/2020 10:16

Thanks @BuffaloCauliflower. I’ve just done another OPK & it’s looking a bit lighter so I think I caught the surge on its way up, yesterday was peak & now it’s on its way down, let’s hope the egg drops tonight or tomorrow to be met by OHs swimmers lol. My temps don’t indicate that it’s happened so I’m hoping for a big temp drop tomorrow. Trying to DTD as close to ovulation as possible as nothing else has worked for the last 5 cycles, except 1 CP in October, DTD lots around ovulation. Well there’s only so much I can control & can only do what I can do I guess
