Coming off pill or pregnant?

Hi all,

New to this so bear with! Looking for advice from those who have experienced the confusion post-pill please!

Background: I'm 27 and DH and I have decided to ‘see what happens’ so I stopped the pill (celest) on Jan 6th and had withdrawal bleed as usual. This stopped around the 12th Jan. I then waited for my period (been on pill for 10 years so didn’t expect it to come like clockwork). Sorry for TMI but around the 18th jan (cd 13) we dtd. Along with a few more times the following week.

The reason why I’m confused is because:
-I’m on day 46 with no period

  • 10 days after mentioned dtd (jan 18th) I had roughly an hour of light dark brown spotting (implantation bleeding perhaps??)
  • had backaches on and off along with cramping
  • just a week ago when my period was due (I would estimate) I had very very thick cm for around 3 days which was cream and stretchy and tainted with pink blood (barely anything)
-now 2 weeks after I would have expected my period, I have very very itchy nipples. -taken 2 pregnancy tests (not using FMU) and both BFN.

I’m really lost for what to do as there’s still no sign of any period either! Are these side effects of stopping the pill or would anybody recommend testing again in another few weeks??

Thanks in advance,
Helena.

In theory you could be pregnant but I think the tests would have shown that by now.

It took 76 days after my withdrawal bleed for me to start my first period after coming off the pill to conceive my son. It really can take a while for your body to get back into rythm.

Thank you @feelingpoorlysick - I don’t mind either way which one it is but just feel in such a limbo atm! I agree - I think it would’ve shown by now on a HPT so think it must just be my body out of whack!

It's frustrating isn't it.
Fingers crossed you'll get your period soon!

Not the same as it wasn't the pill but I came off the injection before I had my son and the withdrawal symptoms were actually those of being pregnant. It took another 6 months before I had a proper period and conceived not long after.

Probably the pill, it took me 61 days for my period after my initial withdrawal bleed. Frustrating!
