Anyone had negative pregnancy test 2 weeks after AF but ended up with a BFP?

I'm currently 12 days overdue my AF m, negative pregnancy test on 10days past AF. So just wondered if this has happened to anyone else? My doctor called me back and said it was likely to be the perimenipause due to my age 43 and says that they wouldnt do blood test etc until I was missing 3 periods.

Are you temping / doing OPK? Is there any way to know if you ovulated? I can't imagine a healthy pregnancy being 6 weeks along without enough HCG to show on a test, I'm sorry OP xx

No opk.. period 8th Jan,only had sex on 3 days 24,25& 26th January. So obviously I would expect it to pick it up by now. All I can do is wait for AF to come, my doctor just said it was perimenipause and take a test next week and call back if my periods dont come back.

@Ylladyoll A friend of a friend (who I know, it’s not through whispers) didn’t get a BFP until she was 8 weeks pregnant, so it can happen 🤷🏻‍♀️

I guess it's a wait and see thanks for that @TerribleImagination, I just dont really know what to make of it
