Zika virus risk in the Maldives

I have been married for 5 years and we finally decided to ttc in 2020 but we didn't go into detail. I've been off the pill for a while and so we just thought we will stop being "careful" in 2020.

It took a while for us to decide so (first world problems!) But I'm a bit gutted that we have the Maldoves booked in May because there's still a chance of Zika so we can try until 3 months after we return.

I know the answer is don't be so stupid and risk the disability of your future child you'll just have to wait but I also like the idea of us being so relaxed and happy on holiday- and in the mood for lots of sex!!!

Has anyone else had a similar dilemma? I don't really have a question just feeling silly.

I get your point!
I would just use a very good mosquito repellent and not stay in infested areas and just do what you feel like doing...
i would tu delay for this reason personally

Unless you plan some jungle stuff or risky activities but in most resorts i Would think it’s safe...
