Is it safe to have sex (TTC) whilst treating BV??

Hi...

Just looking for some advice. Weve been trying conceive for our 2nd baby for the last 3 months or so after getting off the pill. About 3 days ago I noticed some BV( bacterial vaginosis) symptoms just after my period due to antibiotics I took for my tooth. I now have the 7 day BV gel treatments which I’m due to start tonight when I go to sleep but it’s also the same time my ovulation window is predicted.

Do you know if it will be okay to have sex whilst treating BV or if I have to wait? Really want to conceive again x

It is fine, I've had sex while having antibiotics for BV but it kept recurring so eventually DP and I both got antibiotics and it cleared up for good

The gel acts as a spermicide, check leaflet. Might be better waiting a couple of days to start treatment so you can DTD with higher chances, also if you have sex during treatment it might not clear up BV as effectively.
