Seeing Gynaecologist this month-what should I expect

Month 21 ttc, with new partner. I'm 41 and have high FSH. I'm wondering if anyone could share their experiences of what happened at their appointment as I'm kind of think he will just say "what do you expect at your age?" and laugh at me.

Ovulated today and appointment is on 26th
