BBT ovulation confusion, experienced BBT trackers help

So I’m on CD17, today is predicted ov day according to app & OH already knows he’s getting lucky tonight lol. Anyway I thought I’d see what, if anything, my temps could tell me as I had a random short cycle last month & completely missed ovulation (period was a week early). We DTD twice on CD12 (not fertile window according to app but ovulated day 11 last cycle) DTD CD15 & will be doing it tonight. I started taking temp on Monday, temp dropped on Tuesday (CD14) went up on Wednesday (CD15) & has stayed the same. So if I had the temp drop on Tuesday does that mean I ovulated Tuesday & missed it because —OHs work is a massive cock block— we couldn’t DTD till Wednesday as OH was working away. Was so hopeful this cycle as thought I had all bases covered but now I’m doubtful. Anyone experienced in BBT may be able to shed some light. TIA

Possibly but you do get dips in temp for other reasons. Really you need to track from CD1. You then get a better pattern and consistency. Mon or tues temp might have been wrong, and with not much else to go by, it makes it impossible to tell. Mine goes up and down slightly all the time.
