BFP in afternoons BFN in mornings

I'm 11DPO today. On 9DPO I got my very first faint BFP on FRER. I was elated!

The next morning I was eager to test and got a stark BFN on FRER. Completely confused I tried another FRER in the afternoon and it was a BFP ever so slightly darker than the day before (pic attached). Then tried again this morning and again a BFN on FRER.

Has anyone had the same experience and has any positive stories? I'm completely terrified that this is a chemical pregnancy.

Thanks in advance x

Sorry. Here's my BFP from yesterday (10DPO)

That's clearly positive, I would test again tomorrow morning.

Good luck x

I know if you are quite early on testing your urine in the morning might give you negative but later in the day positive.

My morning tests were way faint compared to the afternoon ones.

LaurenN23 · 27/01/2020 10:38

I've just taken another with SMU and got this. What do you think? I'm worried it doesn't look darker than yesterday and that a chemical is looming. I've never heard of anyone getting positives in the evening and then negatives in the morning!! What the hell is going on😢😢

I would leave in a day or two and test with fmu, smu can sometimes be diluted! My test from one day to the next wasn’t much different, don’t panic. If it is a chemical the line will get lighter, I had a poss chemical, had a line on frer and next day nothing. Good luck and hope it works out for you :)

LaurenN23 · 27/01/2020 10:48

@Sunflower2019 thank you - I've had faint positives after FMU for 3 days now :/ AF is due on Wednesday! I'm 11DPO today.

I have everything crossed that this is a sticky bean - my heart can't take the unknown 😩

Someone posted something on here recently showing stats that you’re more likely to get a positive later in the day.

I can’t find it, but there’s a useful table here (the results are only from pregnant women):

www.countdowntopregnancy.com/pregnancy-test/pregnancy-tests-urine-sample.php

So, tests in this sample are more likely to show that you’re pregnant much later in the day!

LaurenN23 · 27/01/2020 12:40

@Livingmagicallyagain oh this is a little reassuring. I'm hoping and praying that it's still just too early to be picked up in FMU. I'm getting positives with every other time of the day and they appear to be getting ever so slightly darker - fingers crossed 🤞🏻

I used to have negatives in the morning and faints in the evening.... and I was indeed pregnant! 13+3 now. I find with both my pregnancies it was more accurate at night time xx

LaurenN23 · 27/01/2020 13:13

@wannabemummy123 that's SO reassuring to hear. What DPO did you get your first morning BFP? Also did your afternoon lines get darker as the days went on? I've attached my afternoon tests from the last 3 days. Bottom was 9DPO, middle was 10DPO and top was today 11DPO using SMU. Each afternoon they've appeared ever so slightly darker I think? Also they've appeared a little quicker each time.

I think I was 11dpo but can't remember exactly! And I tested at like 11pm and found it was clearest each night. Others found first morning wee better but that's just me maybe haha ... they're progressing nicely babe but I honestly don't think you need to test anymore! You're pregnant my darling! Get onto the midwives and enjoy it!! So happy for you! Xx

LaurenN23 · 27/01/2020 14:59

@wannabemummy123 thank you. Just saw this as I posted on the other thread. Thank you for being so kind - I really hope this is real and that for some reason FMU just isn't picking up yet. I will try again now in a couple of days 🤞🏻

OP posts:
wannabemummy123 · 27/01/2020 15:17

Surely you can't have that many false positives!? Haha

LaurenN23 · 27/01/2020 15:30

@wannabemummy123 I know 😩 that's 6 positives now!! I'm just worried because it's not visible in the morning that it's a chemical on the way!!

Fingers crossed for a sticky bean and a stronger line in a couple of day 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

When are you next testing ?? Xxx

LaurenN23 · 27/01/2020 16:00

@wannabemummy123 I'm gonna leave it till Wednesday now as that's when I would be due to start spotting!

Fabulous! Make sure you let me know xx

Sunflower2019 · 27/01/2020 21:37

It looks promising! They are definitely bfps! Keeping everything crossed for you xx

LaurenN23 · 28/01/2020 06:24

@maria2bela thanks for sending, do you have pics of further days? Just so I can see progression ☺️

OP posts:
maria2bela · 28/01/2020 09:54

So first at top, next day was one at bottom, then third day is the one in separate pic, took a few days for it to get as dark as control line

I always had stronger positives in the afternoon, FMU was useless for me.

Everything crossed for you xx

LaurenN23 · 28/01/2020 11:44

@maria2bela this is so reassuring. Thanks so much for sharing. How far along are you now?

OP posts:
LaurenN23 · 28/01/2020 11:45

@elc19 this seems to be the case the more people I talk to!! I am really hoping my lines get darker and start appearing in the morning. This is all so stressful!
