Signs of Ovulation - got EWCM - remind me what this means...........

Right, I saw a link to a website with useful info ages ago and I can't find it and have forgotten what I read!

Long story short......waiting for test results to come back to check for Premature Ovarian Failure / Premature Menopause (I'm 31, desperately ttc dc2).

I've just started using my friend's Persona Monitor so can't rely on that just yet as still on first cycle with that.

Basically I'm on CD9 today and either yesterday or the day before, I felt some twinges down my right side (was hoping ovulation pains but wasn't sure as I thought it was a bit early in my cycle?) Well I went to the toilet earlier and had what must be EWCM? As looked like egg whites plus was stretchy. I'm sure this means something about ovulation? But then again, I used to get this when on the pill so maybe it's not that? I just can't remember and (if you hadn't noticed ) I'm looking for any reassurance that my body is working ok atm. Dr made it clear to me that I don't have time on my side and I need to get pg ASAP (obviously if results are bad then I have to look at other ways).

Sooooo, what's this EWCM all about? Anyone know the link to the website I'm talking about?

EWCM means you are at your most fertile, and you are about to or just have ovulated. The consistency is designed to catch the sperm and help it on its way to the egg.

Do you happen to know what I'd get that when on the pill?

Oh, and we are deffo doing it tonight and we did a couple of nights ago. Suppose I'm hoping that this is deffo a sign of ovulation as it would make me feel better about waiting for the test results.

If this is a sign then I obviously ovulate early?

I know all that side (although it's recommended every other night as sperm may not be of good enough quality if the dh's don't get their rest ). My reason for wanting to know is purely to feel better about the tests I've had. I've been worried sick since I was at the Dr's yesterday and I'm just wanting a sign that things are working. I was hoping that EWCM was a good sign and it sounds like it usually is but I'm a bit confused as got this when I was on the pill.

the every other night doesnt make a difference. They replenish their supplies pretty quick

Oh right, I've read EVERYWHERE that it should be every other night. Why would they say this if it's not true?

well my consultant said every night. Had fertility treatment and am now nearly 23 weeks so worked for us. He had a very good sperm count 100 mil. DP reckons it was all down to his super sperm.

says that as long as male has healthy sprem daily is fine. I guess that is why fertility consultant said everyday to us. It was me who had problems ovulating.

Why is it all the men call it SUPER SPERM like they are special or something - cracks me up!!!

Thanks for the link, very interesting I wish we knew dh's sperm count as no idea how good it is. He's doesn't look after himself very well so I worry about how good it is.......he's 46, hardly ever eats breakfast or lunch, doesn't eat well at other times, smokes, doesn't do exercise etc. Anyway, I woke him up for sex at 2.30am and he did his job so I suppose he gets a little exercise

Still confused about the EWCM as I thought some women checked inside and when I did after seeing the EWCM on the tissue (sorry TMI ), it was just lotion like inside. Should I expect to get EWCM from inside? Also, I heard something about the position of the cervix and when high/low and soft/hard are supposed to mean something. Going to do another search and see if I can find it again!
