Does anyone have difference in period boobs vs pregnancy boobs? Like different area of soreness, no soreness etc?

hi @Bethwox I don't have an answer but am interested to see what other people say, hope you don't mind

I did, mine usually ache a bit with my period but the pain was on another level and my nipples really sensitive. At about 5 DPO I went from an A to a C literally overnight - that extreme never happens with my period!

mumworkstudywine · 21/01/2020 18:17

Yeah pregnancy boobs are something else. I didn't think I was pregnant and then one day, I came home for work, fell dead asleep on my front and when I woke up I could barely get up, the pain in my boobs was that bad. Was actually one of my first symptoms at about 4 weeks pregnant by the time I clocked on!

Bethwox · 21/01/2020 18:43

See this is why I'm asking as for my period my boobs ache so bad I can hardly move! Whereas with my daughter when I was pregnant with her I never had a problem with them.. I'm due on next Monday and I usually have really sore boobs by now but I only have a little bit at the sides 🤨

I don't get any sort of boob related symptoms when pregnant so it's not given that they ache// hurt etc.

Doyoumind · 21/01/2020 19:38

Periods - no pain. Pregnancy - painful very early and very late on.

Hoping4no4 · 22/01/2020 18:27

I don't get sore boobs on period.
Pregnancy, they feel like are made of lead! Take my bra off and have I have to hold them, they feel so heavy and sore
Currently TTC so awaiting the pain as a good sign lol

Good luck! X

I get sore boobs just after I ovulate right up until AF. I have just got my BFP today and my boobs are a lot more painful, they sometimes have shooting pains.

biscuit13 · 23/01/2020 08:23

@nespressowoo congratulations on your bfp!
I get sore boobs a few days before period, literally my OH can barely hug me because it’s so painful. This month the pain started alot earlier about a whole week before AF is due (Next Tuesday) and started at the sides but now it’s all over and so painful! And I swear they are bigger, barely fitting in my bra. Really hoping this is a good sign and not just AF coming early...

Thekindyoufindinasecondhand · 23/01/2020 08:28

Right before period used to have sore boobs, if I wore a bra that was a bit tight or getting intimate hated having them touched. Pregnancy boobs are really sensitive, can't run downstairs without a supportive bra, they feel heavy if that makes sense, and nipples are larger

MsChatterbox · 23/01/2020 08:28

I find pregnancy boobs look different. Darker and bigger nipples etc. For me the soreness was no different to period soreness.

kirinm · 23/01/2020 09:44

Period boobs were always very painful, early pregnancy boobs not very painful at all. After a few weeks of being pregnant they got much more painful but at the time of testing they really weren't hurting much.

Post baby, I no longer get sore boobs before my period.

Katinthedoghouse · 23/01/2020 09:46

Veins can also become a lot more prominent too

charlesthekudu · 23/01/2020 09:49

My pregnancy boobs only really started about 8/9 weeks in. And they were so so heavy and sensitive. Even rolling in bed made them all 'twangggg' and was so sore! (And I've got pretty small boobs! But felt like I was lugging around biggest boobs in the world)

Beau2020x · 23/01/2020 09:50

Pregnancy 1 - not a single symptom. Nothing. At any point.

Pregnancy 2 - boobs like ROCKS, couldn't even touch them, grew 2 cup sizes over a few days. Started about 5-6 weeks pregnant.

Period - no sore boobs ever. Only sore nipples just after ovulation.

You can't possibly tell. Every pregnancy/body is different. The only way you will ever find out is doing a test on the day AF is due.

Letsallscreamatthesistene · 23/01/2020 12:59

I found that period boob pain went after a day or two, but pregnancy boobs stayed sore for weeks.

Also the veins on my preggo boobs are real - they look like a road map

BelleBox19 · 23/01/2020 13:03

I couldn't sleep on my boobs for the first month or so, if DH accidentally elbowed me I'd yelp lol 😂. Very prominent veins on my boobs and my inner hips convinced me I was preggo
