Hi, just a bit confused and looking for any similar experiences. I took a test at 6dpo (frer with fmu) I know it's silly early, I'm the most impatient person. Anyway now I wish I'd never took it. To my shock it was positive (pic attached). Line came up within test time and although it's faint, it's definitely there (and you would expect it to be faint at 6dpo 🤦🏼‍♀️). Anyway, I'm now 10dpo and all tests since have been negative. I know it's still early but do you think it was probably a chemical? Evap? Faulty test? I'm going to try and sit on my hands and wait until AF due to test again but it's sooo harddddd.

I'd say evap. 6dpo is insanely early!!! Totally get the need to test then though!

bluemoon2468 · 20/01/2020 12:26

I'm really sorry, I think that's an evaporation line not a positive. There's no colour to it. 6DPO is so early to get a positive...

(That stat is the % of pregnant woman who get a BFP if they test at 6DPO)

maria2bela · 20/01/2020 12:59

That line looks a bit too obvious for an evap, I'd say most like picked up a chemical unfortunately...See if AF arrives and if not then retest x

Thanks everyone. I guess all I can do is wait it out! X

Hi gingertom! You’ve give me some hope today! I’ve been going through a Similar thing, on Monday I was feeling really nauseous and exhausted and thought it might be worth taking a test: I took one Monday afternoon and within a minute or so had a lovely clear coloured positive line! I’ve been having weird tugging sensations in my stomach since Monday, quite high up, not at all like period pains: getting frequent waves of nauseousness and dizziness and feeling absolutely exhausted! I have since taken another four tests (two of them first thing this morning!) Which were both negative, another one that I took on Tuesday was a faint positive. I really do just have a feeling that I’m pregnant so was so disappointed with the two negatives this morning! I’m not too sure when I’m due on (after a chemical pregnancy In September and trying for 7 months, this was the first month that I didn’t track after being a little disheartened! With my first child (now four) two weeks after our initial ‘let’s try for a baby talk’ I had a positive test so I had none of this tracking fertile days etc, it’s so confusing to get positives and then negatives. I think that my period is due Friday or Saturday: do you have any pregnancy symptoms yet? Congratulations on your news!

Lunacat96 · 22/01/2020 12:25

I’ve also had really sore boobs for well over a week now: much more sore than my usual pms soreness! I haven’t been able to sleep on my stomach for a week now because my boobs feel so heavy and sore!

Lunacat96 · 22/01/2020 12:26

Also, when I say ‘clear coloured’, I mean a very clear positive which was coloured! Not a line with no colour haha!

gingertom11 · 22/01/2020 13:20

Hi Lunacat, sounds very similar to me! I really thought that it wasn't going to happen this month but obviously I was wrong! The test wasn't fmu either but the line is defo there - got a better pic in the light now and tweaked it a bit. I can't say that I've really had any symptoms to be honest, apart from maybe just a sort of heavy tugging feeling like you mention. With DC1 though I didn't have any symptoms until around 6 weeks if I remember rightly. Fingers crossed for you. When is AF due? Xx

Ps. Sorry about your chemical Thanks. I've heard quite a lot of people say that it happens when you relax and stop tracking so let's hope it's the same for you! X

Thanks for getting back to me gingertom! I see that you’ve got a first response test, just been having a google and they’re supposed to be the best and most reliable for positive results so I’m tempted to go out and grab one! I’m not too sure when AF is due (what a nightmare!) literally the first month in a while now that I haven’t made a mental note! I was trying to think back and I think that my last one may have been between Christmas and new year so as a very rough estimate it should be due maybe Friday or Saturday time! Yes I’ve also heard people say that too, my sister and her boyfriend was trying for a year for their second and the month that they stopped trying, she fell pregnant! It hasn’t been on my mind at all since well before Christmas and on Monday it just shot into my head as I was in Asda with my boyfriend and had to have a two minute sit down and some water as I was feeling so nauseous and dizzy! Since then I keep getting frequent waves of feeling nauseous which really isn’t a normal PMS symptom for me. Also the tugging in my stomach is undeniable now, I’ve also had no typical period cramps which i always get like clockwork! I’m slightly concerned that I may be exaggerating these symptoms in my head as I’m hoping to be pregnant! But I’m not usually one to do that, this strange stomach sensation that I have I haven’t felt since my first pregnancy! I will keep you updated if I am able to go and grab another test today, and again congratulations! You must be so excited!
