Anyone know about womb linings?

Had an ultrasound yesterday, all looked good and they could see id ovulated that day- however I saw on my scan report that my womb lining was 5.2mm and Dr google tells me that's too thin for that time of my cycle.. but real Dr didn't mention this.

I guess there's time for it to build up more before implantation? I ovulated Cd15 on what is normally a 26-28 day cycle.

Any wisdom much appreciated Smile

@esmerelda1988 I'm no expert on this, but my initial thoughts were that because the egg starts in the fallopian tube before making it's way to the uterus, if the egg becomes fertilised in the fallopian tube then the natural hormones which heighten during this time will have an effect on the uterus and it's lining. However I don't think that the thickness will have too much effect on the egg once it is fertilised and the body's hormones will still encourage implantation.

Thank you, that makes sense. They said the lining looked good so assume they would say if it were an issue, but y'know..worries and google!

@esmerelda1988 Literally! We google everything during these TTC days right and sometimes all we need is a little reassurance that everything is okay. I honestly think that the Doc would have said if anything was cause for concern. Plus, womens bodies vary so much that no mm is right or wrong is how we're made and you'll be fine I'm sure. Do let me know how you get on! x

@esmerelda1988
I'm on cycle day 23 at the moment. I had very evident egg-white CM on 6th Jan and then on 12th Jan I got a positive OPK. We've DTD every day since 5th Jan, so hopefully it will be lucky for us this time. This is my third cycle of trying, but Jan is the only time I saw a positive OPK and where i've not been working away every week which made it much harder before. So i'd say first month really going for it! x
