FRER on 8DPO like an idiot!

I tested today (at only 8DPO) like an idiot because the TWW is driving me mad and seems to be dragging! I almost definitely knew it was going to be a BPN but did it anyway... whyyy!! Anyone else in the same boat? I ovulated on 31st Dec (confirmed by opk and Flo app) and have 1 more test at home which I'm trying to save until Saturday/Sunday.

Congratulations! Bfn for me this morning. 11dpo today so think I’m out. AF due sat/sun so will wait until Mon for any more testing. Good luck everyone else!

I tested today... 11DPO and 4 days before AF. I used a Clear Blue Early one that says it can be used 5 days before AF.
Sadly it was a BFN!! It is apparently 96% when done 4 days before AF... so I'm feeling a little like that's me out! But we shall see if AF arrives!

I also got a BFN today at 10dpo ; but am imagining a super faint line... Can anyone else see something, or am I being crazy obsessive?

I can’t see anything @mimmi91, but those cheapies aren’t the most sensitive - maybe do a FRER tomorrow?

I took my test apart this morning and feel like I can see a shadow, but at 11dpo I’d expect it to be a proper line so it’s either imaginary or just trigger residue. Really hate this part now - just want AF to arrive and on to the new cycle!

These HCG strips supposedly only detect min 20mIU/ml, and at dpo10 a pregnant woman is only at about 10mIU/ml, so I'm not out yet!!

For info, this is a chart of HCG in mIU/ml per dpo I found online... Don't know if there's any truth to it...

DPO 11 : 18 mIU/ml
DPO 12 : 30 mIU/ml
DPO 13 : 50 mIU/ml
DPO 14 : 80 mIU/ml

@mimmi91 I think the chart you found refers to hcg present in blood. It's never that high in urine.

@R2D2abc oh really? Well in that case I guess it's even more of a reason for my 20mIU/ml strips to not really detect anything yet... :)

Does everyone count ovulation days from the day you got your first positive OPK?? only I read online that you actually ovulate 24-48 hours after positive OPK which would mean my dpo I've been getting wrong?? Why is it so confusing!! 🤷🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️ xxx

@Kendrick12 this what I’m wondering

@Kendrick12 you get the positive opk 24-36 hours before ovulation. The opk detects the surge of lutenising hormone which tells your body to ovulate, but it takes around a day for it to take effect.

@Kendrick12 and @2020wish I'm also slightly confused by this.

I count my OV day to be the 31/12 for the following reasons :

29/12 - negative opk, but loads of super stretchy EWCM
30/12 - positive opk, the line was without a doubt darker
31/12 - positive opk again !
01/01 - no rise in BBT, but negative opk
02/01 - BBT rise and negative opk

Read online that only about 20% of women see a BBT rise the day after OV. Most women seem to rise 2 days or more later! I had noticed this already in my previous cycle. Hence thought it made sense that I ov on the 31/12 as it was the last day I got a positive opk, and a BBT rise less than 48hours later.

Any thoughts on this theory...?

@HarrietM87 ok so I had peak fertility on the CB digital kit on the 27th dec and 28th. So I wait to count 1 day post ovulation from the 28th or 29th?

Probably 28th - at least that's the average between 27th and 29th hah!
