Agnus Castus and evening primrose- is it safe?

I was looking at getting some additional supplements to help with my luteal phase. Agnus castus and evening primrose oil were both recommended.

However, when looking to buy them, both say on them not to use if trying to get pregnant? So my question is- are they ok to take?

I've read that primrose oil helps with softening the cervix when in labour.

I use both (just started last cycle), I only use them up until I get a positive opk and I started back up again when AF started. Think the main guideline I could see was do use up until ovulation, although I’ve seen others say it’s fine to use right up until you get a bfp.

I took agnus castus when I came off pill to try for first baby to length luteal phase. I had 2 months off pill- periods/hormones haywire, then 2 months of agnus castus- definitely worked and got my bfp. I stopped as soon as I got bfp.

I took evening primrose with my youngest when I was 8 months pregnant to soften cervix (I was overdue 12 days with first and really didnt want that!) Had him at 38 weeks.

So I've been fine with both no issues. I didnt take evening primrose when ttc as I read not too. Agnus castus is amazing by the way but takes a few months to get into system. Another thing I did the month I conceived was use a sperm friendly lube.
Good luck!

Ok, thank you! It's a minefield! But I want to take things that'll help with TTC so obviously need to be careful.

@Piixxiiee did you take the Angus castus right through your cycle?

Yes I did
