Hi all,

Here’s some background...

  • 4th cycle of trying
  • Off of contraceptives for a year
  • OPKs confirmed ovulation. Peak day 5 days ago.
  • AF not due for another 8/9 days
  • Usually spot a few days before AF and it’s usually red/brown
  • Noticed pink cervical mucus last night which has continued very lightly through today.
  • I never spot during ovulation
  • Light cramping low down and to the left - Feels different to AF pains
  • Sore/tender nipples rather than heavy/tender boobs I usually have this time in my cycle
  • Metallic taste which I usually get just before AF

Usually I’d be the first person to say it’s definitely NOT implantation as it’s too early but I’ve never had a discharge like this before at this time in my cycle.

Can anyone shed any light or share their experiences?

Thanks in advance x

Also think it’s early for implantation...
But try to test with a frer tomorrow morning if it’s implantation it might show....
Perhaps you ovulated a bit earlier
Do you have any pains? Discomfort?
Worth checking with gp if it’s not pregnancy or AF?

Bextag · 06/01/2020 14:27

Thanks for your thoughts @michette :)

Always a possibility I ovulated earlier but think it's unlikely.

No pain, just very mild cramping but not uncomfortable.

I think I will try to hang on until AF is due and see what happens. Why do our bodies know to do crazy things in the 2ww!?

Honestly i wish mine would do crazier things Grin

But hopefully for you it’s just an early sign of pregnancy!!!

Are you going to wait the 8 days to test ? Or do a frer soon??

Keep us posted. :)

So my impatience got the very best of me and with an afternoon wee, I just got my first ever VVVVBFP!!! (on a FRER)

Only explanation is my Ovulation dates are out of whack which means the only other day I could have conceived is Christmas night!

I could not be happier. Now I have everything crossed it sticks and is healthy. Will re-test in the morning for that darker line :) xx

I can't see a second line. Usually frers are not squinters. If your timings are right I would wait 4 or 5 more days

Bextag · 06/01/2020 16:16

I disagree. I have seen many 'squinters' with a frer posted on here.

There is definitely a line. My best friend who is a GP has seen the test in person and agrees it is a positive test. That is enough confirmation for me.

Interested to find out if you are pregnant?I had the same discharge 5dpo. Did a test today 8dpo just a tiny bit of pink at the end of the test where a line would be x

Bextag · 26/01/2020 15:13

@Trying2019 I was pregnant so it definitely was implantation but sadly miscarried a week later. It was my second chemical.

That sounds very promising! :) I hope you get a lovely clear line tomorrow! Let me know how you get on. x

Hi @Babyboom1990

Yes I did. I just had my 12wk scan today and all is looking great. After 4 chemical pregnancies I didn’t think it would happen for us.

How about you?
