Can you use an ovulation test to test for pregnancy

I have used an ovulation test tonight because I have run out of pregnancy tests and read somewhere you can use these instead. I have a faint second line?? Could this determine pregnancy? Xx*

As far as I can read on line, it could mean that you are pregnant if the OPK test is positive( so have two strong lines of the same intensity and colour).

Unfortunately you can also get a LH surge before af!!

I'm sure I read that there is always a level of LH in your body, which is why some ladies always get a faint line on tests, with a darker line being a surge at ovulation or just before AF.

A line on an OPK for a pregnancy would have to be a very dark 2nd line...

Af is due on Wednesday would there be a surge 6 days before? It's a faint line, definitely not as dark as the control line so I will probably have to rule it out and wait for another pregnancy test. I have taken 3 with faint lines so I was just wanted some more reassurance. I'm frantic not knowing for definite. X

The only way to be sure is a pregnancy test
