What were your pregnancy cramps like?

Hi all,

So I'm TTC. My periods are irregular as I've Pcos so I'm due to have my period soon. Breast are hurting but a lot more pain than usual. I also have these cramps where if I lay down in bed they hurt or if I'm getting off the sofa a little too fast it feels like something being stretched in there. It has felt like this for the last two weeks.

I should do a pregnancy test but I'm afraid of being upset again.

Anyone experienced similar cramps?

@ohhfiddlesticks Hi,
I have irregular cycles too. I found out I was pregnant on Monday... I had cramps for two days before I found out and 3 days after.
They were mild-medium AF type cramps. But have stopped now.

The cycle before this one I had cramps for nearly 2 weeks before my period so it could be either.

You should definitely do a test just to put your mind at rest BFN or BFP at least you will know and you will be able to stop worrying xx

@EssJayyCee Hi, how wonderful for you, a massive congratulations Smile
How long have been trying and is this your first? How long have you had irregular periods for?

I feel like these cramps are just different you know. I will be getting a test tomorrow as I'm away from home today

Thanks :) congrats again

@ohhfiddlesticks Thank you so much.

We had been trying for 17 months!
I have had irregular cycles since I started when I was 14. I went to the doctors with it when I was 23 and they put me on the pill which masked the problem. I was only on it for a year before TTC.

I have recently been referred for fertility help and next week I had an appointment where I was going to be prescribed medication to help the process so I feel so very lucky!

Yes, this is my first baby, I just hope the little bean sticks. 🥰

Okay, good luck. My fingers are crossed for you. Let me know how you get on tomorrow! Xx

@ohhfiddlesticks
Hello! I have very similar symptoms to yours. I have had them for roughly two weeks and it’s like something has latched on inside and even stretching in bed causes it to hurt.
I tested a couple of days ago and got BNF. AF is due today or tomorrow and I got AF type cramps this morning which made me feel sick. Nothing as of yet but the pains you have described, I have been getting them for the past three month but no BFP yet!
All the best and keep us updated (I’ll do the same!) x

@ohhfiddlesticks how exciting! Keep us posted if you do another test!

EssJayyCee · 04/01/2020 20:59

@ohhfiddlesticks I am so happy for you!!
How old are you if you don't mind me asking?

It would he nice to go on this journey together as our due dates must be very close if all goes well! 😊
(Also, your username is a phrase I use regularly so I think its fate we have met 😂)

You should definitely still get FRER whenever you can!

I just bought a ClearBlue digital tonight to be done in the morning as my final test and close enough dating test eek!
I'm so excited to see the word "pregnant" rather than panicking on whether the line is dark enough or not!

Ahh I am so freaking happy for you!!!

FirsttimeTTC · 04/01/2020 21:31

@ohhfiddlesticks congratulations on your BFP! Sounds like your symptom spotting was spot on! Flowers so pleased for you!!

ohhfiddlesticks · 04/01/2020 23:43

Thanks so much everyone

@EssJayyCee I took a clear blue, couldn't help myself so made Dh drive lol

I am 25, just turned 25 last month

I've so far be to one fertility appt which was last year. I got off the pill but my period was absent for six months, I knew I had pcos since 18 and they'd given me metformin then- however did go private and wasn't interred in conceiving. Went back to the docs telling them I'm easy to conceive and I got metformin as I told them they gave me my periods before.

I got my first period in October and here I amGrin

How about you? How old are you?

It would be fantastic to keep in touch. I don't know how far I am as I had that one period in October and that's it

Do you know when you're due?

I have another fertility appointment in Feb where they were going to check on how I was getting on, I was going to beg them for clomid this time. I'll still be going to it I guess, I don't know if I should carry on taking metformin or not

Thanks everyone Smile

@ohhfiddlesticks Wasn't that CB Digital one of the date ones?

I am 27.
I think I already said how long I'd been trying for etc. My next appointment with the Gynaecologist is Wednesday! I was meant to be getting Clomid if blood tests showed I hadn't ovulated... but I must have because here we are 😁

I am still going to the appointment just to see if I can pinpoint better when I actually conceived.

I think I am due around the 9th September but it is so hard to tell with my cycles being so irregular.
I tracked BBT and I'm pretty sure I know when i ovulated so today I should be 4weeks+4.

It's still so early on and I am so bloody anxious!

EssJayyCee · 05/01/2020 07:14

Just took my ClearBlue dating test and it says 1-2 weeks I think it's a little bit off but to see the word pregnant was amazing.
I still can't believe it's happening!

Bluerussian · 05/01/2020 07:28

I never had pregnancy cramps nor did I have nausea in the morning, vomited a clear fluid once very early. I had absolutely no adverse symptoms at all during pregnancy, the only difference was when my baby started moving and charging about at approx 16 weeks and once, later on, I had heartburn after eating an avocado. No urgency of micturition.

If it hadn't been for the growing bump I would say I was the same as when not pregnant - oh I did sleep well at night whereas prior to pregnancy I was often sleepless and I ate very well.

I'm beginning to think I must have been unusual! Anyway it didn't matter, all went well and we were healthy.

EssJayyCee · 05/01/2020 15:17

@Bluerussian It sounds like you were incredibly lucky with lack of symptoms!

Someone I know didn't even know she was pregnant until she was 8months gone!

It's crazy!

ohhfiddlesticks · 05/01/2020 18:07

@Bluerussian wow, incredibly lucky.

I threw up a bit this morning but don't know if it's because of lack of sleep or symptoms.
@EssJayyCee
There were a lot of clear blue tests when I got this one, I didn't buy the one with the weeks of how far gone as I wasn't sure if I'm definitely pregnant. I'm so tempted to get one now

Going to try to book a docs appointment tomorrow x
