Evap line?

So I took a pregnancy test this morning but I didn't think it really worked properly cause of how faint the control line was, I just looked now and got this. I read evap lines are colourless streaks but I can't tell what this is? I'm sure it's an evap so not getting excited

Thanks @Mooey89 well I've just done 3 different brands all negative and the clinic also just called and said they will only accept it as negative.😭😭😭

@Nattiekattie I'm so sorry to hear that what test did you use where you thought might be positive? I heard blue dye tests can give false positives and evap lines, from now on I'm just going to use early response as that's what everyone recommends. I've been told that the spotting can be implant bleeding and if that is the case it can take at least 2 days from then to get a positive, even longer for some people. I really want to give you hope but I don't want to get your hopes up. I would def try again Saturday though.

I used a clear blue, how do you know if it's a pink or blue dye one? I bought Accu News test strip & stick as well as clear & simple early response. I did all 3 about 9.30 so it was 5hrs after I tested at 4.30. I've called my gp to request a blood test, the receptionist said they will call back today. I just would rather now either way.

@Nattiekattie that's okay clear blue is blue dye. It's just the colour of the lines on the test, either pink or blue. It's horrible not knowing isn't it, it's the worst part. I just had a bit more spotting but brown this time so I'm hoping it's still implantation bleeding. Let me how you get on if you have bloods done. I'm going on my lunch break to get more tests lol

@kittycat10 it's pure torcher isn't it. I really hope you get a positive result. Maybe try and wait to do them tomorrow though I'll keep everything crossed for you. Do you usually spot? I've had no spotting but I've been on a lot of medication so I wouldn't except to other than straight after the implantation which just happened that once.

O right lol, the pure & simple are pink but tbh the early response one that I did today picks up 10u/ml of the hormone and the clear blue is 25u/ml so as much as it kills me to accept the negative result I think I have to 😭💔 xxx

@Nattiekattie thank you. No I don't normally spot, what I have I've never had before so I'm really hoping for a positive and it not turn out to be a chemical. I've just bought some more, I'll prob do one this evening and one tomorrow cause I'm too impatient lol

So the early response one is a lot more sensitive then. The FRER can detect hcg levels as low as 6.5u/ml so even more sensitive. Let me know if anything changes. I will keep my fingers crossed for you

The doctor just called and agreed that I can have a blood test. So I'll go now and have one. Hopefully the result will come back this evening or tomorrow xx

Well it's a BFN for me 😞 still doesn't explain the spotting I've been having that I've never had before so I will test Saturday just in case

Well it's also a definite BFN for me also.

The results were 0.05 HGC so there was never a pregnancy. In a way a feel relieved because there was nothing I did that didn’t make it take. It just didn’t work. But I'm just devastated. It's just weird how I got that false positive 😢😢. But I'm glad I've got closure. Xx

@Nattiekattie I'm so sorry to hear that but I'm happy you've got closure, it's better than not knowing. AF has just arrived and like you I'm glad I have closure now so I can stop obsessing about it, for a few weeks anyway ha

💔 at least you have closure now. I hope you've got plenty of chocolate in.
