Hi I had a miscarriage 23/12/19 (a week ago) I'm still bleeding and in a bit of pain.

I was wondering how long everyone has waited until trying again?

Any advice please x

@mummyb201303 so sorry for your loss. I lost my son at 21 weeks on the 25th December and haven't wanted to wait at all, not at all to replace him but I am nearly 35 and want at least 2 more children if I can so lucky so don't feel I have time to wait. We started trying when I thought the bleeding had stopped a few days ago but it has started very lightly again so not sure if its still lochia, a period or ovulation bleeding

Sorry for your loss. I had a MMC in June and had to wait till the end of that month for my period to come again and have been trying to conceive since. I would say once your period comes to try after that

I had a miscarriage at 16 weeks last year and we started trying again straight away. We fell pregnant two months later and again we lost in at 16 weeks. The two losses were apparently unrelated but I was not emotionally recovered from the first loss to deal with the second. We decided to wait five months before we even thought about trying again. After that we then waited another three months and fell first time trying. I felt much stronger and was able to focus on the pregnancy rather than feeling like I was still mourning a loss. I don’t think there is a right or wrong answer to when to try again, it is down to how you feel and if you are ready for the emotional journey again. So sorry for your loss, good luck x

We started straight after my bleeding stopped but i was lucky my bleeding didn't last too long and I got a negative on a test quickly. My Mc wasn't at too many weeks along so maybe this helps a bit. I don't think there's a right or wrong time to wait, I'm sorry to hear of your loss look after yourself Thanks xx

Tried straight after the bleeding stopped in May and have been trying ever since. In retrospect, I wish I'd waited a cycle until I got my first af because I drove myself absolutely insane with stress.

MC on 24/12/2019 bleeding stopped two days ago and waiting for a negative pregnancy test and antibiotics to finish to start ttc. But i was advised to wait at least a cycle.
But i think it’s up to you- if there aren’t any issues.
