Hi ladies

Hubby and I did the deed on sat and I believe ovulation was on wed. Has anyone concieved 4 days before ovulation and then felt severe abdominal pain on the day of ovulation and got a bfp (pain was on the left side). It's almost like I felt the egg being fetlized. Has anyone had a similar experience??. I'm in my two week wait.

Any severe abdominal pain should be checked out. I'd go to the walk in x

It's impossible to conceive 4 days before ovulation as the egg has to be there to be fertilised. I get pain sometimes at ovulation, sometimes I don't, it can be sharp and intense but then it goes. There is no way you would feel the egg being fertilised as it's on such a tiny scale. Unless you are in pain now (in which case go see a doctor) then try and put it out your mind and just wait and see as you'll drive yourself crazy thinking about every twinge and pain and cramp.

@Makeafamily19 I meant has anyone ever had sex 4 days before ovulation and conceived. I know this is possible because sperm can live for up to 5 days in the body and literally be waiting for the egg to be released.. just wanted to see if anyone had experienced this..

@Mrsmummy90 I'm not in pain anymore.. the pain was on the ovulation day.. will just chop it up to ovulation pain. I normally get ovulation pain, it was just worse this time around

This is possible. Sperm can live max 7 days under the right conditions which is why it is recommended to have sex the days leading up to ovulation.

I get the exact pain you are describing every month. It will be your ovary releasing the egg, very unlikely you will be able to feel the actual fertilisation. If you google this symptom it's very common. The only way I can describe is is like a pop or stabbing feeling which is the egg being released.

I got pregnant 3 years ago feeling all that you have mentioned and I DTD a few days before ovulation. Now TTC again

Just started a thread along these lines, dtd 2 days ago, guessing I’m ovulating today as having the usual pains. My usual ewcm stopped as soon as dtd, normally continues for another 2 days til ovulation day which has got me wondering why it suddenly stopped 🤔

The body does all sorts of weird things, its hard to keep track nd know what's what especially on the ttc journey. I hope u get a bfp soon though Smile
