Advice on missed period but negative test

Hi everyone, I'm hoping to get some advice might be a bit tmi, I'm afraid I don't know the shorthand!
My husband and I had a condom fail around the 16/17 of this month. On the 22/23ish I had dark brown/red spotting but no period yet, though it was due 24th.

I've taken a few pregnancy tests in the last few mornings and they've all been negative. Im not quite sure what the next step should be now, as I either thought I'd have a positive or my period would start!

Should I just wait until the end of Jan to see if I've just skipped a period, or wait a bit longer and try another test?

I am getting a bit excited that I am pregnant, so I'm getting a bit worried as I think if my period does start I'll be quite upset! (If that makes sense?)

There’s not much you can really do but wait and take more tests after a couple of days.

Thanks for the reply :-) if it's still for whatever reason negative with no period come Feb would it be worth contacting a nurse for a check up?

Could be implantation bleeding? Would test again in a few days :)

Do you know the date of your last period OP and how long your cycles usually last?

Hi elle thanks for the reply :) my period is usually the 24th of each month, but I'm afraid I dont know my cycle length

It's hard to know if you were ovulating without having the exact dates but if you were ovulating around 16/17th your period would be due on the 30th.. I'd recommend using an FRER or wait a few more days
