Hi, ive just joined this site as everything i google tends to bring it up and there seems to be at least one person who's gone through everything so im hoping someone might know whats wrong with me! Long story short, had my mirena removed three weeks ago, had a 4 day bleed and everything has been fine since until a couple of days ago. Ive been bleeding on and off, not anywhere near a period and ive been getting serious pain in my left hand side. Went to gp this morning who seemed uninterested but the pain is getting worse. I plan to go back tomorrow if its no better... i also have PCOS. Anyone know if this is normal?! Thanks in advance!!

I have no experience of the coil, but could the pain be ovulation pain? Seen a few people on here that spot and get pain around ovulation.

Doctor sounds fun! Is there anyone else in your practice you can go to?

Yes, ive been in this morning and made an appointment with another GP. Hopefully she will be a little more helpful. I had a large cyst on my right ovary last year, with similar pain but the gp said i
this wouldn't be anything to do with that and because id had the coil removed it would just take a few months to get back to normal, and then sent me on my way ☹

Well hopefully you can get some better answers with the other GP today. Good luck

Hello! I had my coil taken out around 2 months ago now.. I have just finished my first period since and TTC for baby #2.

I also have PCOS and endometriosis - I get pain there quite often and bleed on and off. Have you been referred to a gynaecologist and had a laparoscopy? You may have endo?

Im currently in a&e having blood tests and things to rule out ectopic pregnancy. They may do an ultrasound to check for any overgrown cysts but thats as much as i know at the moment, i was diagnosed with PCOS 9 years ago but up until the last two years i havent really had that many problems, it was only diagnosed as they thought my now 9 year old was possibly an ectopic pregnancy too. Its fun to be a woman sometimes!
