I got a Mirena coil fitted in August, after giving birth in April. I am now experiencing a series of symptoms, which could just be flu-related, but seem a bit odd nonetheless: morning nausea and sickness; horrible backache; labour-like cramping (strong, at the sides of the belly and around the uterus); high fever (39). i am a bit concerned that something is not OK with the IUD and will take a pregnancy test today. What are your experiences with the Mirena? Has anyone either fallen pregnant or expelled the IUD and what were your symptoms?
