Fertility treatment AFTER baby number 1

Hi everyone,
So my baby is 18 months and my husband and I have decided we had better get the ball rolling with ttc number 2.
Our situation is this...I have PCOS. I have v long and unpredictable cycles. Luckily my husband checks out fine with everything. We were mid way through seeking fertility treatment (probably clomid) back in 2017 when I miraculously fell pregnant.
My question is this.....we know what the problem is re my fertility. We need to be put on clomid to help regulate my periods and give us a hand in knowing exactly when I'm going to ovulate. I really REALLY dont want to have to jump through the hoops of going to my GP, getting referred and then waiting months to be then told what we already know.
Does anyone know if I can self refer to a fertility clinic on the NHS? Do I get help with conceiving when I've already had one child? Or is my best bet going private? We've just bought a new house so we would really rather go via NHS if at all possible. On the other hand I'm 33 and an extra 6 months of waiting could make all the difference....
Would be ever so grateful and interested in your experiences.
