Eeek today I got my first flashing smiley face on clearblue digital opk, how long should I expect it to be flashy before turning static? Anyone used these? X

I've had spotting today when wiping (sorry if tmi!) so I think I'm probably out, I'd say I'll get af in the next day or so. I did a frer this evening just to be sure as I've had an incredibly stressful day & just want a glass of wine, it was negative!! We have to put our beloved 10 year old dog to sleep & I'm totally devastated. Best of luck @Mich2020 and @stef92, hope you get your bfps xx

Mich2020 · 13/12/2019 18:36

ibb.co/HFgm8X4 tweaked a little xx

Oh I'm sorry to hear that @Lori86 must have been awful 😭 but at least you can enjoy your wine this evening..
Good luck next cycle xx

Aw @Lori86 so sorry about your dog.

@Mich2020 I can see it slightly in the tweaked picture. Fingers crossed. I would have expected a stronger line by 11dpo but then maybe you just implanted late.

Stef92 · 13/12/2019 19:20

@lori86 sorry to hear that but at least you can have a nice drink at Christmas so every cloud🤣

Waiting1987 · 14/12/2019 07:28

Have you tested today @Mich2020 ? Good luck!

Mich2020 · 14/12/2019 08:23

Superdrug negative 👎🏼 so so disheartening, I'm going to have to wait it out for af now as
I should be getting something in the mornings xx

So sorry you didn't get bfp after all @Mich2020 . There seems to be so many people getting faint lines on frers when they aren't pregnant. Everything crossed for you for next cycle 🤞 x

Mich2020 · 14/12/2019 10:03

Faint lines on 3 different tests. So heartbreaking, but not out until af shows xx

Wantywanty · 14/12/2019 19:02

Hey ladies it's been a while unfortunately I got a bfn and af arrived on the 10th so I guess I'll be back at it again in the upcoming days lol fingers crossed!!!

Wantywanty · 14/12/2019 19:03

How's everybody doing how's the journey going for everybody?? I'm so behind time I've just been so busy at work these last few weeks getting here is like mission impossible!!

Wantywanty · 14/12/2019 19:07

Also a friend of mine wanted me to post her story here... so af was 30th Nov finished on 5th December she had a solid smiley on Thursday 12th December and fertile cm on that day and also the Friday. She dtd yesterday Friday 13th and wants us all to keep her in our thoughts and keep her spirits lifted through this journey of ttc.

Mich2020 · 14/12/2019 19:21

@Wantywanty so sorry to hear that af came for you,
I'm very confused at the minute Thursday afternoon immediate bfp on a frer and on clearblue, Friday morning bfn on frer, then a faint line on a freedom test. This morning bfn on Superdrug test and just now got another faint faint line on clearblue.
Ahh massive good luck to your friend I'm keeping everything crossed for her 🤞🏻🤞🏻
Here's my test from tonight very faint but there in real life, came up in time limit xx

How's everyone bearing up? Day 23 of my cycle so I'm due on tomorrow onwards. Would be the best early Christmas present ever if I ended up with a BFP

Lori86 · 15/12/2019 18:54

I'm not too bad, haven't had af yet. Still having a shocking amount of clear cm which has normally dried up by this point in my cycle so I don't know what's going on. I did an Internet cheapie today & it was negative so I'm assuming I'm not pg but definitely having weird symptoms. I suppose it might just be from the stress of the last few days. I know it seems mad to some people but that dog was like my first child. Have you done any tests @stef92?

Stef92 · 15/12/2019 19:01

@lori86 I've not done any tests, I've deliberately not bought any early detectors as I've found it too demoralising! I'm due to go out on Friday with people from work, who are big drinkers, so that's got me a bit nervous! I've had cramps and have been feeling nauseous all week.

Would this be your first?

Lori86 · 15/12/2019 19:10

@stef92 no I have a wee boy who is 14 months. I always wanted to have children close in age though as there is a massive gap between me & my siblings. Have you got any children?
Wow you've got good willpower, fingers crossed for you. I couldn't stop myself taking a test, especially if af hasn't appeared by Friday. If it were me I would take one that morning just for peace of mind, then you can either be delighted with your fantastic news or relax & enjoy your night out with a few glasses of wine x

Stef92 · 15/12/2019 19:18

@lori86 my cycles are all over the place since i came off the pill in June so I might test on Friday morning if no AF. We don't have any children yet so I'm all new to this!

Mich2020 · 15/12/2019 19:54

Still no af here. Negative clearblue this morning but a flashy smiley face on my opk? I know you can have a surge before af so not taking it as anything unless it changes to peak suddenly. Will do another cheapie this evening but I have had so many pees today lol 😂
Ahh good luck for Friday 🤞🏻🤞🏻 keeping my fingers crossed for you @Stef92
Also hoping you get some luck @Lori86 when are you due on? Xx

Lori86 · 15/12/2019 20:02

To be honest I'm all new to the whole ttc thing too, we weren't even really trying with ds. We had just stopped using protection when I fell pg, we only dtd unprotected 3 times the month I feel pg. This whole thing of tracking ovulation & timing dtd is completely new to me but there's no way we could be so lucky twice!!

Lori86 · 15/12/2019 20:06

@Mich2020 I'm not really sure when I'm due, my cycles are anywhere from 25 to 30 days. I might have been due on Saturday or I may not be due until Wednesday. Lol its so hard trying to store up the pee, as sun as I tell myself i shouldn't pee for a few hours I need to go straight away!!! Fingers crossed for you xx

Mich2020 · 15/12/2019 20:24

I never tried with ds as was only very young and only had sex the once.. with dd it took a few months I think but I never remember it being this stressful. I do have PCOS and endometriosis, so a gynaecology appointment on Thursday might give me more clue as to what is going on inside. I had my coil removed in February and started periods back properly in April so since then it's been every month of disappointment ☹️ fingers crossed we all get our bfps soon. A new year a new life 👶🏻 xx

OP posts:
Lori86 · 15/12/2019 20:43

@Mich2020 do you mind me asking how you were diagnosed with pcos? I've had some odd changes to my cycles since having ds1, my af has suddenly become exceptionally heavy & painful. I had a scan 2 months ago which showed a medium sized cyst on my left ovary. I have to be rescanned to see if it gets bigger or if any more develop that was meant to be this month but I've not heard anything. Pcos is not something I know anything about.

Mich2020 · 15/12/2019 21:19

I have suffered from endometriosis since having ds who's 11 now, long labour, a lot of examinations and a lot of stress and blood loss. Unnecessary things that could have not happened if they had spotted he was never going to be delivered naturally early on. Anyway after having him I became poorly, infections and things and a lot of pain even a year after c section they found out with laparoscopys I had endo, they have removed scar tissue from my organs inside 3 times now and I still continue to get pain. They told me to have the coil which is meant to settle the pain as it doesn't usually give you periods (that wasn't the case for me) I had it removed after just a year because the pain was so intense. They finally agreed to see me again, When they last scanned me at a different hospital they said they could see cysts on my ovaries and is more than likely PCOS, when I went for drs appointment after the scans they confirmed it. Apparently it's common and a lot of woman have it, but it goes Undiognosed as in some cases it's just mild.
It could well be what you have and can cause infertility in some people but the drs would be able to tell you more on your next scan. I'd get that chased up if I were you, it's took me 6 months to get this gynaecologist to see me so hoping he will give me some answers and hopefully my next step at the appointment.
Sorry that was a bit of a ramble. Hope it made some sort of sense. I will know more on Thursday hopefully 🤞🏻 xx
