How long after Nexplanon removal did you conceive?

Hi 😊

I've been on the implanon implant for 3 years, then on the nexplanon for another 3 years. I'm getting it removed in January 2020 as me and my partner would like to start a family within the next couple of years - how long did it take you to have your periods return, and how long did it take to conceive?

Thank you 😊😘 x

I had a withdrawal bleed 4 days after it was removed, then settled in to a 31 day cycle straight away. But 5 months later and no BFP yet!
One friend had hers removed and got a BFP 3 weeks later (no bleed at all), and another had irregular cycles for almost a year before getting a BFP.
So it seems very variable!

One year for me and DP. We tried and on the last day before i was going to give up and had booked my implant appointment for a months time, i must have conceived. Applied for education because i was convinced i couldn't conceive, now im studying a degree with a 9 week old Grin

I had a withdrawal bleed after 4 days and then regular 23-24 day cycles from then.

I've had 5 very short cycles since having my implant removed which I only had in for 11 months. Was on the pill previously and conceived almost straight away 3 years ago after stopping the pill. I had very regular 28-29 day cycles. Now my luteal phase is way too short which is stopping me conceiving.

Everyone is different. If you are wanting a quick conception, I would suggest having your implant out asap and holding out TTC for a few months, to avoid the disappointment I am receiving. Also allows you to get a feel for what your cycles are doing before TTC.

8 months but I was also breastfeeding so not sure if that played a part.
