I've been trying to conceive since 2016. After a year of trying I went to the GP and they didn't want to know.
I went back another year later wanting to be referred to a fertility clinic for some answers.
I'm now overweight so my GP refused to make the referral. No offer of any other support.

The weight is coming off so she made the referral but it was rejected on the basis that DH has a child already.

My GP could not give a shit that I'm left in limbo. She said there is nothing else that can be done.

If I change GP and ask for bloods to test ovulation etc, what can I ask for?
Is anyone able to give me a list of blood tests or other tests that a GP can ask for so I can at least start to eliminate issues.

Have you had tests for PCOS or any other problems?
I was dismissed by old gp when I was 18, I moved areas and finally went to a new gp when I was 21 who was brilliant from the start. I had 9 weeks of blood tests, referred to gynaecologist at local hospital. I hadn't had a period in 4 years.
I was put on metformin, 9 blood tests to check ovulation and finally fell pregnant! I now have a healthy 5 month old DD 😊
Is there more than 1 gp at your practice? Maybe ask to see a different one.
Don't give up op! Good luck Thanks
