Chemical Pregnancy Experiences

Hello,

I’m new here but was hoping someone could share their experience with me. TTC for 11 months and I got faint BFP day after AF was due (Weds). I tested each day and the line was been getting darker and darker. Yesterday my period arrived after a pretty strong positive test in the morning. Can anyone tell me, what comes first with a chemical pregnancy, the bleeding of the negative test? Or does it vary from person to person. I’m assuming the worst here but would like to hear from someone who has gone through similar. Thank you! 😊

Yeah maybe I should be more pushy about a scan sooner. It's my first planned potential pregnancy so I just feel like I don't know what I'm doing! 🙈 Hmm. The private scan place does scans from 7 weeks so I'd need to wait another week anyway. Thanks ladies. X

So I had my scan yesterday and they couldn't see anything. 😢 They said it's either too early, miscarriage or ectopic. There is blood in my uterus which is why I'm bleeding. They took my blood and hcg was only 632, I'd have thought it'd be more if I'm 6 weeks on Tuesday but she was happy with that number. Need to see if it doubles by Tuesday. X

@ellie42567 Okay, well at least now you have a better idea of what's going on and will be getting closer monitoring. The whole "call in 3 weeks" thing seemed really casual to me.

Also, I think it's really important that you don't feel like you're causing a fuss or overreacting, because this is your body and future we're talking about! I'm sure any doctor would rather be a little extra careful than miss anything.

Big hugs... I'm glad you went for a scan although im sorry it wasn't the news you were hoping for.
Shocked at your gp- ive been told to have early scans for history of ectopic too (last time the nhs refused before 6 weeks but private agreed to just before as i had similar 2 years ago, positive tests and symptoms but a normal period). Mine ruptured at 6 weeks exactly so I put the period down to that and made a fuss for very early scans in the hope I could save my other tube! Make sure if you get any pain you go straight to a&e. X

Hi guys, I had me results back today and levels have only risen by 39% in 48 hours. I'm going back Thursday for more bloods and a scan. I'm glad I ignored the advice from my GP as it's looking like another ectopic with those numbers! 😢 If I get pain before Thursday then I'll go to a&e. X

I've had 3 chemical miscarriages and my tests turned negative very quickly after I started bleeding. The fact yours is still strongly bfp is a ray of hope. I'd be pushing for an early scan. Best of luck.

Hi, I’m 27 and last Sunday I got a positive pregnancy test. I estimated that I was 5 weeks + 2 days. I lost my symptoms (breast tenderness) by Tuesday and then on Thursday I had 12 hours of mild period like cramps followed by a small amount of bright red blood that night (not enough to soak a pad). It literally only lasted like 2-3 wipes and after that it was just very pale brown (like prune juice) for a couple of days. Then since Saturday nothing - no discharge. It’s much lighter and shorter than a normal period is for me and I haven’t passed any clots of tissue. Spoke to the EPU hand o advised probs a chemical pregnancy and to ride it out over the weekend and they’ll call me tmw. Today (Sunday) no discharge. Breasts a little bit tender (but could be imagining it). Just toke another test and it’s still showing positive (same shade as test I took last week - possible a bit fainter). I’m also feeling quite nauseous this weekend, but definitely don’t feel pregnant. What should I do as I feel like I haven’t passed this pregnancy? I’m just feeling really confused and would rather get it over and done with and move on. TIA

I'm very confused as what's happening with me at the moment. I had a chemical/MC back in November. My tests just never progressed and we're light from the start for their dpo. At 20 dpo HCG results came back as 64 at 22dpo were at 30 obvious chemical/MC. I started to bleed 17dpo ish 2 days of pink spotting then bright red for a further 10days. My tests went negative pretty quick and I ovulated on time.

However fast forward 2 months to January and I'm pregnant again. Really good dark peak opk CD12 in the morning and I definitely ovulated around 18/20 hours later early hours of CD13, I had the usual ovulation pains. Exactly 6 days later late evening going into the early hours of 7dpo I had really bad implantation pains on my left side. I knew straight away, yep I know whats happening here. 2 days later a super super great bfp at 8dpo with a clear blue digital saying pregnant. I've never had a strong positive like this so early with a positive digital as well at 8dpo.

I've had a really good line progression according to the wonderful ladies of mumsnet and a progressing one step line as well.

However the day AF is supposed to show 14dpo I had a small bleed of pink blood. Its paled off even more today almost turning orange and the tiniest amount very early this morning being 15dpo. Nothing all day after but I am keeping a close eye when I go to the toilet.

My tests are still progressing, today being the strongest with even a 2-3 weeks on a digital.

The onestep shows 15dpo fmu and 15dpo afternoon urine you can clearly see its stronger in the afternoon. My FMU urine isn't the best I've found. The 15dpo Is the same as 14 dpo because I stupidly wasted my last frer this morning on my SMU with only a 2 hour hold and it was very diluted. Anyway it is still as strong as 14dpo but I wreckon if id of waited until this afternoon it would of been alot stronger like the other test.

Any clues ladies could this be another chemical/MC ?
