Failed IUI no review??? Any advice appreciated. Clomid

My first IUI 50mg Clomid, trigger shot and cyclogest pessaries failed. I always ovulate on my own but doc thought it best to increase the chances of two follies. I produced one follies as I would have done on my own.

Day 8 scan dominant was 15mm. Told to trigger two days later and come in two days after for IUI. Cycle BFN.

Starting second cycle in a few days. No review of failed cycle and no change to my medication. This has left me with 1000 questions.

When or if you have had a failed cycle, has your doctor reviewed it and tweaked it accordingly? I just feel I’m being set up to fail.

How old are you? Normally they want more than one follicle unless you're very young, like early 20s. There's not much to review if you produced and grew a follicle. I'm just not sure about their practices, they seem a bit too relaxed and choice of Clomid for IUI is questionable.

Hi @KatBeCool thanks for responding. I am 30 soon to be 31 early 2020 with AMH to the “lower end of normal”. It is my first time learning about all of this. My doctor suggested my first cycle being a “trial” to see how well I respond but moving forward he hasn’t changed anything and I haven’t been offered a follow up, despite it being included in the package.

I just don’t think my second cycle will be a success seeing as there haven’t been any reassurances or even review of what may have gone wrong.
