Pregnancy symptoms heart palpitations

Hey everyone I don’t know if you can help me, so last month two weeks after my period I had heart palpitations which I never get (no pain) I just had to sit down I thought it was strange. Fast forward to two weeks ago I was at work and I came on, it was bright red but very light and painless, and lasted 4 days but I only had to use 3 pads. Assumed a light period it was around the time I was due so shrugged it off, later that day my eyes were watering and this lead to me having a cold/flu symptoms for a week. since then I have heart heart palpitations every few days even when I’m not doing anything strenuous or feeling anxious. I also got home from work two days ago and cried like a baby, which is odd as every month I religiously cry the day before my period and the day it ended. I have no symptoms like painful breasts or nausea. But the heart palpitations light bleeding and bout of the flu is a strange coincidence. I don’t have underlying heart problems as I recently was on an ecg, I also don’t feel overly weak or tired and haven’t changed my diet so don’t believe I am lacking any nutrients. I don’t smoke. So I feel like I have weighed out other causes of this. Has anyone had anything similar?

I had heart palpitations and a couple of short light periods and it turned out to be an overactive thyroid. Do you feel warmer/sweatier than usual or have you lost weight? It might be worth giving your gp a call to at least rule it out.

Have you recently come off the pill? I had palpitations for a while after I stopped taking mine but they went eventually!

I actually did have heart palpitations on the run up to my BFP but I also have an underactive thyroid so it could be linked to that too. Book yourself an appointment with a GP they should be able to suggest other things that could be causing it if its not pregnancy. And deffo take a test!
