TTC - could there still be a chance for this month?

Morning everyone!
TTC cycle 1, baby 1 - stopped the pill earlier in the year so I could monitor my cycle but only on the first cycle of trying this last month. Been using a period tracker app to monitor AF for a while (always 30 days) which is great that I'm regular.
DTD 4 times in my fertility window and when the app said I was due to ovulate I had egg white cervical mucous. Didn't manage DTD on that day but did DTD the day before and the day after ovulation.

1 week after ovulating I had mild cramps and a pinky red discharge when wiping for a few hours then stopped. Also lower back pain on and off the past week.

Today it is 4 days until AF is due which is 11 days post ovulation. Did a clear and simple early response test this morning (can be done 6 days before AF) and got a BFN - not even the faintest line.

Feeling like nothing is going to happen this month now but a little deflated after I had what I thought was an implantation bleed (I have never had any spotting in between menstruation since coming off the pill)
What do you ladies think is there still a chance? Have you had any similar experiences?

Hi @LVSV 🙋🏼‍♀️ 🙂 I'd say wait a couple of days and take a FRER - I'm in the same boat, ttc our first and currently on our second cycle this month. I know how horrendous the waiting and guessing is but my only advice would be to try and relax and wait it out (easier said than done).

Sending you all the luck Thanks I so hope you get the bfp!

@LVSV hi lovely Smile

I’m in a similar situation. 5 days until AF is due, 10 days DPO and I’ve been having cramps since around 5 DPO which I never normally get.

Tested earlier (because I was impatient and caved) and it was BFN. I know it’s early and I shouldn’t take that as a definite but it is so disheartening.

Let me know how you get on x

Thank you so much for your replies - it's good to know I'm not alone. Never realised how much the whole process would be on my mind! I will keep you guys updated - good luck to you both this month! Positive thoughts x

I'm in the same boat. Went off the pill, been using OPKs, no inbetween bleeding or spotting ever, was always regular, but got some bleeding and spotting that was light 8dpo until 10dpo. First cycle for us as well. Today is 11dpo for me, am waiting until 16dpo to test so I dont waste money or drive myself crazy. You only know HPT's are accurate the day of your missed period and sometimes later. I have heard from people after going off the pill it can take 6 months to a year to conceive as your hormones are all over the place and trying to regulate. I'm hoping quicker than that. Let me know what happens.
