Hey fellow Mumsnetters...newbie and first time poster here! My husband and I are in month two of TTC, and really I'm just looking for moral support and the chance to chat with others on their journey to motherhood to try and get my head round my current situation..

Have been using the Flo app to record as much as I can over the last few months. According to that, I was around 21 DPO, and over a week late for my period earlier this week. Had what I thought were various pregnancy symptoms too (albeit I know many are similar to PMS)...almost all the common ones except sore boobs and a positive pregnancy test! However I've still had no period, and have since had positive ovulation tests 6th and 7th November. Feels like my cycle is all over the place which I'm not used to! Have always been regular since first starting my periods, was then on the pill from 17 years old to end of last year (30 years old) and was regular since coming off the pill until 2 months or so ago. Not sure what's going on!?

I do have a docs app next week to speak with them about it, but any advice, thoughts or just words of support in the mean time from anyone in a similar situation would be hugely appreciated!

Hello!

I was on Cerelle for 10 years and came off it in July 18. Since then I’ve been having long periods & cycles up until recently where I’ve had 2 44 day cycles. I had a 5 day period on 11th October and I’ve had nothing since! Me and DP DTD on the 20th, 25th and 27th (I had EWCM) around then. I had stabbing pulling pains on my lower left side last Sunday on and off for a few hours and I had on and off dull lower back ache but nothing since and no AF! I’ve had waves of nausea, backache, bloating, dizziness when standing up (almost like I stood up too quick), and I’ve felt like I’m getting a cold for around a week. I’ve been getting BFN tests so not too sure what’s going on with me either!

Fingers crossed for you and you get a BFP soon! X

I think I might be feeling a tad emotional/hormonal as I welled up in town this morning at the band for the remembrance parade (which I just thought it is a moving day so) but I’m just watching Strictly and just welled up and Mike’s negative comments!! Haha Blush

It's so frustrating eh! Especially when so many early pregnancy symptoms are identical to PMS symptoms so you end up just playing mind games with yourself. I cant think of any reason why my cycles would all of a sudden be off other than maybe stress at work...haven't felt mentally stressed, but I have had a manic few months so maybe it has physically affected me.

Have you had anything similar that the changes in your cycles might be down to?

Lots of baby dust to you! x

Well I’ve been following Slimming World since March so I’m eating a lot better and exercising more but I can’t see a reason as to why I had the cramping etc last week as though AF was coming and now nothing! You’re right, it’s a pain! I’m 28, 29 in March and the feelings to have a baby came on so suddenly, it’s all I think about month to month!

UPDATE...

Took a cheap pregnany test this morning and it seems to have a very faint positive line! Still cant quite believe it. Did a Clear Blue digital which said not pregnant, but since read a lot online about them not being reliable early on as levels they read are higher than the cheaper tests or First Response. Ordered FR ones which are coming tomorrow, but will wait till the day after to test again as have read a lot about it being every 48hrs or or so the HCG hormone doubles if you are pregnant. So hoping its another stronger positive result!

Maybe just one of those things as I have read a lot that it's normal for women to have one or two missed periods for no apparent reason. Don't give up yet! Sending you lots of baby dust x

Thank you so much. I kind of feel like I need a stronger line on a test to really believe it but we shall see what Thursday brings. I will report back Smile x

Was just going to recommend using the fertilityfriend website but I see you have a faint bfp! Tentative congratulations and hope you see a stronger line soon!
