Late period but negative tests - is pregnancy possible?

I’m wondering if pregnancy is possible.

Normally my cycles are around 26 - 27 days, but I’ve had them swing out as far out as 23 - 30 days before.

My period (based on a 27 day cycle) was due last Friday. I still haven’t had a period. Which makes I think 34 days with no period. I’ve done 7 pregnancy tests, last one this morning, all negative. I’ve used Tesco own brand tests.
The last time I had sex was the Monday before my period was due (11ish days ago).

I’ve been feeling relatively rough this week, but then I’m still getting over a nasty cold, so nothing symptom wise that couldn’t be explained away by something else - aside from the late period.

So does pregnancy sound possible? If I’d ovulated unusually late, is it long enough since the last time I had sex for a pregnancy test to detect a pregnancy?

I would over-estimate the period date especially as you have longer cycles.. I have them too, up to 35 days maximum. If I based mine on 30 days which is about an average for me, I was due on yesterday (no sign of it yet 😬🤞🏻) however I know I ovulate late in my cycle (I had positive OPK’s last week) so even though I know I’m due my period to start about now, I’m trying to hold off another week before I test as it could be too early.
Hope that makes sense, have everything crossed you get the result you want!! X

How long do you normally have to leave it after ovulation for a reliable result with most brands of test?

I mean everyone’s different so don’t take my word as gospel, but from what I understand it’s impossible to get a positive test until after implantation? So roughly 7-10 days dpo (I think?)
We’re TTC DC2 but with my first I tested on the day I had implantation ‘bleeding’ and got a very strong positive with a FRER test. I didn’t actually know it was implantation at the time but it was very different to anything I’d seen before, so figured it was worth a try!

With dd2 I didn't get a bfp until I was 10 days late for af. I think it all depends on if you ovulated later/implantation etc

Thank you Smile

The really frustrating bit here is that I have no idea when I ovulated!
I know it must have been later than normal, because otherwise I’d have had either a positive test or a period by now, but other than that... 🤷‍♀️
