Ttc, not sure what’s happening?

Hi all, newbie to Mumsnet!
Hubby and I have been TTC (trying to conceive), everything is always pretty normal with my cycles and periods.
However the last few days I’m not sure what’s going on with my body!
I started having cramps 4 nights ago and have been having them on and off. Had a bright red spot of blood 2 days ago, thought this was AF as this was when I was due, but then nothing. Still lots of cramping becoming quite severe. Then had quite severe cramps last night and woke up to what looks like AF but not very heavy, especially as my cramps are so bad I would expect a really heavy flow. Getting a lot of weird stuff coming out too (sorry tmi!). And still just constant mild cramping. Any thoughts or anyone experienced anything similar? TIA (thanks in advance) xx

Maybe do a pregnancy test?

farmmumtomillie · 29/10/2019 07:39

How's the bleeding now? If it's light I would test

selp · 29/10/2019 11:15

Thanks for your reply’s. Hadn’t thought to test as figured it’s AF so couldn’t be pregnant. I’ll test tomorrow morning though. Bleeding is still there but quite light. Still very tender around my lower abdomen and back. Keep thinking maybe I have some sort of infection? If it’s no better tomorrow will try and get drs apt.

Ok just said it’s light and just had a huge clot sorry!) and now have the brightest red blood you’ve ever seen! Is it possible to miscarry this early?? Feeling freaked out :(

It is, they are called Chemical Pregnancies and it's where the egg doesn't implant properly
Bright red blood is fresh blood, how far along could you potentially be and hows the pain?
I'm not trying to scare you but have a quick google of ectopic pregnancies

selp · 29/10/2019 13:38

Ok thanks, googled ectopic but don’t have any symptom, I literally ovulated only 2 and half weeks ago so could be a chemical? Do I need to do anything if it is or does it just run it’s course?

Nothing anyone can do unfortunately you treat it as you would a period, first day of bleeding is CD1
You're usually very fertile after a loss and absolutely no reason to wait another cycle
