Ovulated late, short luteal phase?

Im gearing up to start IVF. My cycles are around 42 days.
I was expecting to ovulate over 2 weeks ago and AF was due to arrive the wkend just gone.

I was tracking my ovulation and tested a flasht smiley for 11 days before giving up.
Then, last Tuesday, i started having EWCM so tested and got a static smiley.

I originally thought that AF would arrive 2 weeks after that but a normal symptom of my period, my breasts being sore, appeared on Friday. I normally get sore breasts around a week before i come on.

My husband lost his job recently which i suspect caused my body to delay ovulation.
But is it even possible to come on 9DPO?

I have a short luteal phase, rarely make it to 9dpo or longer. So yes it is possible. But it doesn’t sound like it is normal for you. Is the bleeding the same as it usually is when you come on? Or are you just spotting?

No, this isnt normal for me. Im normally a 42 day cycle, ovulate regularly despite having PCOS.

Im not spotting at all at the moment.

I always come on at a weekend so its either going to be this wkend coming, or the one after that (making 16-17 luteal phase)
I started getting my sore boobs on Saturday which i normally get a week before AF arrives.
Ive heard its progesterone that triggers sore boobs and ive also heard that lack of pogesterone causes late ovulation/short luteal phase..

Alas I think you’ll have to wait and see. Stress can mess with your cycles.

I have a 4 month old DD but when I was TTC and tracking my cycles using opks, temping and ovusense I only had a luteal phase of 4-9 days (it varied each time).
Took me 10months to conceive, no idea how it happened really as the cycle I fell pregnant I got my period at 8dpo. I felt light headed a lot and just different so I took a test after my period ended. 13dpo I got a BFP.

Stress has never affected my cycle before now, but i deffo believe it has this time.

Im hoping this one is a short phase mind, im just too imaptient.
