Any Ovusense users or charters who can help me with this?

I'd love some chart advice if at all possible!

On Thursday and Friday I had very very strong positives on OPK cheapies (slightly darker than control line) I only ever get it this strong when I'm about to ovulate or am in the process of ovulating.
I also had EWCM and soft, high and open cervix on both days.
My temp was surprisingly low yesterday morning which really threw me as I expected the start of a rise. But this morning it's finally shot up,
But no prediction from Ovusense! It usually gives me at least a day's notice.
Luckily, because I use OPKs we had sex Thurs and Fri.
But I still don't know if I've ovulated yet and I'm not sure whether to keep having daily sex or not. Especially as DP has low morphology. I keep thinking we need to give the sperm a chance to regenerate properly.
But I'm also scared to miss my egg.

Can anyone have a look at my Ovusense and FF charts below and let me know what you think?

Thank you 🙏🏼

Ah what a pity. It was worth asking anyway.
I guess I just need to see what tomorrow's temp brings. I'm wondering if it's a failed ovulation 😢 I bought some ov sticks from Sainsburys today and it was negative.

I wonder how long this damn cycle can go on for 😓

@frazzlerock what was your temp this am? It looks like you have ov’d to me but the random high reading earlier in the cycle has probably thrown the algorithm. I bet if you get a high temp again today it will confirm ovulation. I temp but often get awaiting confirmation of ov. If you don’t get confirmation then I would try to continue doing alternate day DTD. Xx

Frazzlerock · 06/10/2019 08:21

@Macbless thank you so much for your reply.

My temp was high again but slightly lower than yesterday's and still no ov window prediction Hmm
I think you're right about the random high temp. I'll take it out in FF and see if it makes a difference. I don't think I can discard temps in Ovusense

If it goes up again, and the green line catches up, it may well show your ovulation window. Fingers crossed 🤞🏻

lewk · 06/10/2019 18:40

Looking really likely that you ovulated on Friday 4th, which means you hit ovulation day and the day before so that's good! Best of luck. Should be confirmed on Fertility Friend with tomorrow's temp.

Frazzlerock · 07/10/2019 08:15

Thank you so much. @YouBoggleMyMind it has gone up this morning, and @lewk FF has confirmed ov for Friday, whoop!

Still no sign from Ovusense though Hmm. If I didn't prefer their device over a BBT, I'd cancel my very expensive subscription!

Thank you so much for all your inputs, I know it very boring all this guess work.

I thought I was ovulating too... but my temp dropped again so looks like failed ovulation SadAngry

Any Ovusense users or charters who can help me with this?
Frazzlerock · 07/10/2019 11:45

@YouBoggleMyMind I get this every cycle. I get all the signs of ov and a high temp, then it drops back down again. It's so disheartening, especially when you'be been waiting weeks and weeks for ovulation, you just think its never going to happen. I don't trust a temp rise anymore. I used to get so excited thinking it's finally happening, then the fertile window disappears and I feel like shit.

Can I ask you how you get the cover line? Mine doesn't have one

OP posts:
Wrigleys123 · 07/10/2019 13:23

Frazzle how does ovusense work? I'm just about to start using mine but it seems like it only tells you after you've ovulated which would be no use to me really!

Fingers crossed for you this month!

Frazzlerock · 07/10/2019 14:13

@Wrigleys123 well to begin with, in fact my very first cycle of using it it was spot on - actually got pregnant that first cycle of using it and had been TTC for 3/4 months previously (long story but we had a break for two years as DP didn't want to try again after our second loss). Sadly we lost our little boy at 9 weeks (third loss for us)

Ovusense continued predicting correctly for several cycles. Then it started going awry. It would predict my fertile window for about 3 weeks into my cycle when, in fact, I am more likely to ovulate 4-5 weeks into my cycle.
It generally gives me about a day's notice, but It used to give me several days which was great. But this cycle it once again told me I would ovulate about 3 weeks in, then my 'window' disappeared. Then it didn't even recognise my actual fertile week and hasn't even noticed that I've ovulated, despite my temps being higher than usual and staying high for the past three days Hmm

I don't know. I have PCOS so that is obviously a factor. But it was designed for women with PCOS so I expect more from it tbh.

I do like that it measures CORE temp, rather than basal body. This is far more accurate. I just put my deets into Fertility Friend as a back up - which has confirmed ovulation for me this cycle.

I would give it a go, but don't trust it when it says its your fertile week coming up. Act like it is but don't expect it to stay and don't be fooled by high temps as I've had failed ovulations several times and it is such a disappointment as @YouBoggleMyMind knows too well Sad

I used to like it and found it fascinating discovering what my stupid body was up to. I raved about it. But, right now, I'm not happy with it!

OP posts:
Wrigleys123 · 07/10/2019 16:11

Sorry to hear of your loss frazzle I will give it a go anyway. Must be so frustrating for you, I dont know if I ovulate at all so will be interesting to see what it says for me!

YouBoggleMyMind · 07/10/2019 17:58

If you go into settings it'll give you to option to enable cover line and then you can move it up and down on the left hand side of the screen where the temps are.

Ovusense does work but it takes some time to build up a picture of what your cycle looks like and for you to see what you're aiming for. It advises sex every 2-3 days to keep you covered... it just gets frustrating with PCOS as your temps never seem to be steady and then with the obvious ovulation rise.

Wrigleys123 · 08/10/2019 10:33

Well I tried to use it last night but failed! I had to take it out, think I must have put it in wrong as it gave me terrible back pain Blush

Frazzlerock · 08/10/2019 13:20

@YouBoggleMyMind I've been using it for over a year now and this is my tenth cycle of using it. I'd have expected it to 'know me' by now 😂 Thank you for the coverline instructions!

@Wrigleys123 how strange! I just insert it like a tampon, never had an issue

OP posts:
YouBoggleMyMind · 08/10/2019 13:30

It was specifically directed at you Frazzle, sorry. I defo understand why you are frustrated. This is my 4th cycle and I'm frustrated. More so cos my body is shit.

Frazzlerock · 08/10/2019 13:50

Ah sorry @YouBoggleMyMind. Yeah, like you, I am starting to think its my body more than anything. Although I finally got confirmation that I ov'd on Friday (as FF already told me), at long last. CD29.... Hopefully next cycle (if there is one) they will give me a 'window' to work with.
I'm going to continue using Ovusense and use FF as back up and Ov sticks. I can't use Ovusense alone as I'll miss our chance.

It might be worth you guys installing FF too seeing as its free gratis.

Wasn't*

YouBoggleMyMind · 08/10/2019 14:05

I'm also trying OPKs but other than when I was on clomid, they didn't help much... sigh.

Frazzlerock · 08/10/2019 16:14

@YouBoggleMyMind I think all these aids are like pieces of a jigsaw puzzle. On their own, they don't make much sense and don't really work, but put them all together and you get a clearer picture of what is going on. Takes over your life though...

OP posts:
YouBoggleMyMind · 08/10/2019 16:45

Yup. It took 3 years to conceive DS1 and he is nearly 2 now. We didn't intend on having much of a gap but he was so poorly and we almost lost him shortly after he was born we weren't in the right state to think about another.
Now trying for no2 since May and I think I have ovulated once. Going to give it until Xmas and then I'm off to my GP to start the ball rolling again for being referred for fertility treatment. Clomid and metformin did the trick last time after several dose amendments on the way!!

Chefwifelife · 08/10/2019 17:57

Hey @Frazzlerock I've skimmed a few of these messages but just wondered where your cover line is? This would make much more sense of your chart I think. I would say you've definitely ov given the huge rise.

Frazzlerock · 08/10/2019 20:30

@YouBoggleMyMind it's just so unfair isn't it, such a shit time waiting and waiting and watching everyone have your dream.

I have some advice though re PCOS and ovulating. My cycles have improved massively since I cut out sugar, gluten, and dairy. As well as caffeine and alcohol. Sounds shit, right? It's honestly worth it.
My cycles used to be 100+ days. Now they're more like 40. I also take Metformin and Zita West's inositol + folate.

It's well worth a try. Once I ovulate I chill out a bit with the diet so I get a break from it.

OP posts:
YouBoggleMyMind · 08/10/2019 20:55

My last 2 cycles have been around 40 days and been taking inositol since May so that has defo made a difference. I did all the weight loss etc the first time and honestly, it made no difference 😂 only metformin actually made clomid work. Good old insulin resistance 😂

Lucious · 29/10/2019 17:04

Hi All,

I know this is a bit of an old thread, but I'd like to see if you guys would be able to help me. I have been using Ovusense for one month. The trouble that I am having is it is giving me a different ovulation date to what Fertility Friend does with all of the info I enter. Also OPKs would suggest that Fertility Friend is correct. So which one do I trust? Can you guys give me some insight on this? I would like to add graphs to this, but I dont know how!

Thanks so much for your help in advance.

Sunshine2988 · 28/02/2020 08:16

@Lucious I’ve just seen this thread - I’ve got a progesterone blood test to confirm but I wanted to see if anyone agreed on how accurate it is at confirming ovulation as it says it’s 99% accurate.

Just thought I’d reply to you! I think you have to give OvuSense a few months for it to be able to predict your cycles properly.
I’ve been using it for ages (only starting ovulating last 4 cycles after 12 months off the pill). And it’s only the last 2 where it’s given me the right window. Hopefully it’s sorted itself out for you by now?

If it helps I’ve attached a couple of my charts xxx
