home insemination am i pregnant?

So my husband I are trying to conceive via home insemination. We inseminated twice in my ovulation window the first being 2 days before and the second on the day. I'm due on tomorrow and so far have got negative test results. I'm getting cramping in my lower back today but hoping there's still a chance. Am i clutching onto straws?

Why don't you just have sex with each other? there's a chance you could be pregnant i guess.

No one here an tell you whether you're pregnant or not, you have to take a test.

Why aren’t you having sex with your dh? Why are you doing this insemination stuff? Might find the old fashioned way has better results......

I had missed period with quite strong cramps when expecting my first.
Whatever is happening right now i hope all works out for you becoming a family

Oh, fgs, do you lot not think just having sex has occurred to them? Ever heard of IUI to improve chances when failing to TTC? Granted this in a home environment but not exactly a stretch of the imagination to work out. Don’t be so bloody obtuse.

OP, it doesn’t sound too promising this cycle (assume you’ve used higher sensitive tests?) but best of luck for a positive very soon.

Maybe post this on in the Conception board. They'll still tell you to wait and POAS, but they'll be a little nicer about it.

To the PPs questioning self insemination, there's a myraid of reasons why people go down this route. DIY solutions to low sperm count or male-carried genetic diseases with donor sperm, vaginismus or a sensory condition that prevents PIV sex, OP's DH may be FtM trans etc.

Try googling before judging.

i havnt posted on here before so didnt know there were different boards. also i posted for some support but guess your all not wanting to support so guess i came to the wrong place.

Even your doctor would not know by looking at a text. You will need a positive pregnancy test or a scan to confirm it you are pregnant. If you are asking if somebody can get pregnant from a DIY insemination, yes it has happened, but success would depend on many factors.

Don't let it upset you @Becks28 - people don't always think before typing.

If you report your first post, you can ask MN to move it to the conception board where people will be a bit more considerate.

I would think that a test would be positive by now BUT with DS2 my test was negative one day then + the day after, around my period.

I also had period style cramps.

Doesn’t sperm die quickly if not kept at certain temperatures.
I used to breed horses which was all stored semen and the storage temperature had to be so exact.

Queen they may have sperm just minutes old.

It's really non of our business.

I didnt mention amd dont see how to edit. I have also noticed fatigue for a week and have felt sick/ been sick today but dont feel ill.

If you're due on tomorrow and were pregnant you would have had a positive test. So I would say it's unlikely, sorry.

Some People don’t get a BFP until after their period, plus you could of ovulated later? Good luck and don’t forget you’re not out until af shows 🤞 x

Hi @Becks28, sorry some people have been so rude and obnoxious. They clearly have never struggled to get pregnant. Ttc is a bit of a minefield and so many if us symptom spot and hope for a little miracle even when things start to suggest bfn. I've got my fingers crossed you'll have your bfp soon.

I don't know why you have such a hard time here, sometimes people are just odd. Don't feel stupid for posting, this forum is filled with symptom spotters and others just looking for a little hand hold during the two week wait. Dp and I tried for over 3 years before bfp and I can assure you, home insemination passed my mind on more than one occasion.

Obviously you know we can't tell you if you are pg, but I have my fingers crossed for you. I didn't test until a week after af was due as I was so nervous, the only symptom I had was tiredness. Until AF arrives, you are not out!
