Af 2 days late but bfn

Is it possible that I'm just having a longer cycle? I'm normally 28 days like clockwork. Not even a hint of a line the last 3 days with ICs. I have had cramping today but I wouldn't say like af (maybe wishful thinking!) as it's really low down and sometimes a slight stabbing pain.

Has anybody had anything similar and gone on to have a bfp? Keeping my fingers crossed!

Hi OP, this question gets asked a lot so possibly why you don't have floods of answers.

Often if you have conceived then you would test positive on or after the day your period is due (99% accuracy on that date or whatever they claim) so it is unlikely.

BUT there are plenty of people who will tell you they didn't get their BFP till 7/10/14 days after AF was due so it's clearly not impossible.

BUT odd longer cycles seem to be terribly common, especially with those trying to conceive so watching for AF like a hawk.

So.... it's just a case of waiting and seeing I'm afraid. Try not to symptom spot too much as they can be so misleading. I've had the stabby pains before, once I got a BFP but the other times AF came as normal.

I'm not sure I've helped really, but test again in a few days and see what happens in the mean time :)

@Wanderer1 you have helped so much. Thank you! I know when I ovulated thanks to cb digital tests and we definitely dtd a lot around that time. I suppose if it's a bfn right now it's unlikely to change. I keep checking for af but no sign yet. Maybe thinking about her too much keeps her away. Smile
