We're TTC our second baby. I'm 6 days late but keep getting negative test results. I'm still breastfeeding my daughter so wondered if anyone knows if that can affect the results. I got a positive with my daughter 1 day after missed period. Hate the not knowing!

Breastfeeding usually causes periods to be irregular or non existent, it wasn't until I fully stopped BF that my periods became regular so it could just be down to this that your late?

I'd retest in a couple of days

Thanks @mariarosa1991 I got my period back after 12 weeks despite ebf and they've been like clockwork ever since (daughter is 15 months) which is why I'm thinking I might be. I'll just have to be patient I guess and try again in a few days.

@BlueRaincoat89 I breastfeed my 2 year old. About 6 months ago I was 6 days late, but period came. No idea why it was late, I’m usually quite regular. Just one of those things I guess.

Yes if you've had periods regularly then does seem like it could potentially be pregnancy related, however be prepared for the fact that even regular cycles can be thrown out of whack sometimes for no reason. I think by now you'd have probably had a positive if it was pregnancy related
