I'm going out tomorrow and I don't know whether to be really cautious or to just throw caution to the wind and have a good time.

You can't put your life on hold whilst TTC so until you get that BFP, carry on as normal.

No need to worry.
Because the zygote is self-contained, any alcohol in the bloodstream of the mother will not impact the embryo before the placenta is formed and delivering nutrients to the embryo. This is usually 10-12 days after conception.

I'm more worried about it having an impact on me even conceiving!

Can being drunk affect implantation for example?

Loads of women have conceived after a pissed up night out so I very much doubt it!
