kick-starting fertility when breastfeeding

Any tips for kick starting fertility whilst still breastfeeding? I'd rather not stop but would like a closer age gap.

Have your periods come back yet?

This may be a coincidence but I was ebf my 6 month old and hadn’t had even a whiff of a period, but one night DH and I had a contraception failure and to be on the safe side I got the morning after pill. 2 weeks later my period came and I’ve been as regular as clockwork ever since, despite still breastfeeding. So, might be coincidence, or maybe the MAP triggered ovulation?

No they haven't, and I haven't ovulated yet.

Maybe the MAP did kick start it! Did it affect your milk?

No not as far as I know. The pharmacist said it was fine to take while breastfeeding.

I thought maybe my periods returned because DS had started on solids, but he hadn’t really started having less milk at that stage (he’s still a milk monster now at 10 months tbf)

How old is your baby?

8 months but not a boob monster at all, just 3 feeds a day and one at night.
