Are FRERs giving out bad water marks at the minute?

Just asking because I got this line on one yesterday. I've turned up the saturation so you can see it as it was hard to photograph. It was visible and pink in real life but I looked at it a few hours later and the line was still there but had faded until barely nothing. I have a FRER from when I conceived DC1 in the cupboard and 3 years later the vfl is still clearly visible and nice and pink. Have they changed them since then? I just don't trust this one really. I'll test again later but I have no tests in at the minute.

I had a frer like this last cycle and I was not pregnant.

Thanks @fallingasleeprightnow! It's quite bad because I've always completely trusted FRERS and now I do realise there is no test you can trust when you're looking an early result so might as well just wait. I've taken another test (cheap one) and it was negative so there you go!

I'd say so. I got this result, was over the moon by it turned out I wasn't pregnant.

@taytosandwich hi OP, did you test again this morning? I have had a similar FRER test today and wonder if we are on the same boat..

Thank you for your stories. It's not just me then  @lunamoon1 my period arrived so definitely not pregnant. After 2 frers with clear lines...it sucks

Maybe we should complain and they will send us lots of free (dodgy) tests 🙄 lol

Here is my latest, and I was definitely not pregnant. Open as I couldn’t get a pic, but line was there before.

That's ridiculous. Pregnancy tests are definitely getting worse for false positives. I've started to wonder if the companies are doing it on purpose to get us hooked on testing and keep us buying more and more tests.

@taytosandwich it really wouldn’t surprise me! Making money out of the hopes of vulnerable women.
Sorry to hijack but do you think internet cheapies do the same? I really want to get excited but I’ve been disappointed too many times before with false faint lines!

I think this happened to me a couple of weeks ago. Very faint positive on a FRER. Went and bought some more but bought the rapid response ones by accident. Either that or it was a chemical but it's a bit of a coincidence a lot of us have had the same issue with that particular brand and test.

Yes, this happened to me last week it sucks! So so faint you feel like you could be imagining it but it was definitely there.
I am now on cd3 so definitely not pregnant! What a waste of money! :(
