I know there are loads of threads around at the moment but going through all the messages on there is a nightmare. So wanted to start a fresh one for people to join in on TTC their first baby...

I’m currently in cycle number 1 of TTC my first child. I am 6dpo today and hoping to hold out until 10dpo before testing.

Hope i’m ok to join, need a distraction during 2WW.

I’m 27, trying to conceive our 1st.
Cycle 1.
I’m currently 7DPO I think, I didn’t track BBT this month, but last 3 cycles all indicated I ov around day 14 so i’m going off that.

Period is due 18th. Trying to hold out on testing until the 20th if it doesn’t arrive, but I highly doubt I can wait that long, I’m tempted already which I know is ridiculous.

Feeling more tired / hungry than usual, but that may just be down to being very busy and the awful weather making me want to comfort eat.

AHH were in exactly the same boat then! I used the clear blue ovulation test which have showed high fertility for the last 9 days but no peak fertility/ovulation so God knows what's happening.

If it happens this month that'll be amazing but sounds like both of us need to get into a proper cycle again to have a better idea of when to time everything.

I just used some cheap ones off Amazon so only shows ovulation not fertility. Didnt realise the clear blue ones showed that too. I'll try those next month x

We'll have to keep each other updated. When you planning to test? I'm due on the 23rd I think but I'm in Glasgow at Pink that weekend so I think I'll test next Friday as I don't want to not have a drink if I don't have to! X

@LA89 well I'm not due until 27th so I'm going to try and wait until after then but I'll end up getting too impatient and test a couple days before. I've got some early response tests that you can use as early as 6 days before x

For those just off the pill- I think everybody is different. If you are lucky your cycle will settle down straight away, and you can ovulate 1st cycle so can become pregnant straight off! But also it can take a while to get back to normal so I would maybe wait until your first natural period before tracking ovulation with opks? Just you might need a lot of sticks! I had 2 months to wait between my last pill and first period. On 2nd cycle now but no idea when to expect AF this month, I wonder if I'll have another very long cycle? CD 27 today. Hope things become clear soon! I guess opks might have helped me this month, but glad I didn't start then at first or I would have been testing for ages before a positive.

So, cycle day 12 today, so sign of ovulation yet, all my opks have been negative. Had EWCM by this point last cycle so I'm getting a little nervous but last cycle was unusually short, and there's still plenty of time yet.

Scheduled in a BD this morning, I've been looking at the Egg meets sperm plan, which looks doable, but I think I'm going to be exhausted by the end of it. My Ovia app has gone phyco today too, it thinks I'm near the end of my fertile week, but I hope it's wrong as only BD once so far. Plus, given opks are negative I think I'll take what it says with a pinch of salt!

Morning Everyone!

So yesterday I had some light cramping on my lower right hand side & got some pink spotting when wiping.

I knew today was to early to test as HCG can take 2-3 days to be high enough, but.... I got a super super faint positive on an IC this morning (10dpo). Trying not to get too excited until it’s a proper line, so going to pick up some FRER’s and re-test tomorrow morning.

Has anyone else tested yet?

@msemumma I'm 10dpo today to, done an IC (10mlu) at 4.30am when I got up to pee (I never get up during the night but have for 2 nights in a row now) and it was stark white. Not even so much as a hint of a line!

I've ordered a couple of FRERs online which should hopefully arrive tomorrow/Saturday (when AF is due) so will try again then.

Fingers crossed for you that that line gets darker and darker 🤞 x

Ovia is a bit all over the place for me as well this month when it's usually pretty accurate.

I’m on cycle day 13 - think I’m in my fertile window as have EWCM today but a negative opk so hoping to see a positive soon.

Hi everyone, can I join in? 32, TTC #1. Cycle 2. CD 9.
I stopped taking the pill in January after being on it around 15 years. Had withdrawal bleed and then period quite quickly. Only using Flo app right now to track ovulation, not really sure how accurate it is.

I'm using the Flo app too as well as the clear blue ovulation sticks. The app told me that I was due to ovulate last Saturday and that I'm no longer even in my fertile window but after over a week of showing high fertility on the ovulation sticks I finally got the peak fertility on that this morning which is way outside what Flo predicted.

Just a thought that you might want to try that too Hun! X

Heya, can I join too? I'm 6/7dpo (CD23), cycle 3 for ttc #1, age 33.

I've been temping and tracking for a while to get a handle on my cycle (using Clue) but this month was the first I used OPKs. Didn't get any lines as strong as the test said I should, but there was a definite peak when I was expecting to ovulate, so think I'm tracking right.

Holding out on any testing for at least a week... keep me strong?! DH is starting to get antsy as he thought it would happen first month of trying, so having to calm him down as well as calming me down!

@underthebridgedowntown welcome! Keep strong, it’s a good idea to wait a week I think, As close to AF as possible.

Still negative opks for me, but yesterday saw some EWCM and today there’s quite a bit of it. I’m hoping I haven’t missed my surge, but given the CM I’m guessing I’m in my fertile window. My Ovia app keep changing my fertile period, so I’m hoping I get a positive opk soon. They’re a bit all over the place to be honest, started to darken yesterday but today’s have been lighter. Doesn’t make much sense, to be honest.

I tend to get EWCM a bit before I ovulate, so don't reckon that means you've missed your window. I was reading another thread on opks and realised you need to test more often (like every 12 hours) to catch the peak, which I'll definitely do for next month, but I'm not sure they're the most reliable thing as I guess it all depends how dilute your wee is. sigh - wonder if it would just be better to go back to the dark ages, just have loads of sex and not track anything

So I done a FRER and Clear Blue this morning and got a BFP and Pregnant 1/2 weeks. Good luck to you all on getting your BFP’s!!!!

@underthebridgedowntown I’ll keep testing with opks for a while, I think. EWCM mixed with creamy CM this morning. Cramps last night/this morning- opk this morning the same, not darker or lighter. This is so frustrating, I just want to be sure that I’m ovulating. Always thought I was with regular cycles, EWCM and cramps always around the right time.

@msemumma wow! Congratulations! That’s a good clear BFP there!

I swear my cycles have got more irregular since we've been ttc - always thought I was a solid 29 days, but varied from 27 to 32 since I've been tracking. It's more likely that I just wasn't paying as much attention before though, but I think even in regular length cycles the day you ovulate can be different. Hope your tests come up good @Lauralozzle

How's everyone doing? I'm still resisting the test (am 9dpo now), but really thirsty and tired. Also got boob pain but it's very similar to pre-AF pain so not reading into that. DH is going away for work tomorrow for 4 days, so going to hold out til he comes back even though I'm itching to test - if it's negative today he'll be sad, so will wait and either AF will have arrived or it'll be missed... am sitting on my hands!

I'm 29, TTC my first. First cycle.
Came off the pill on the 29th May, had withdrawal bleed soon after.
Been tracking ovulation using opk's, and the Clue apps
Surprisingly got a positive on the ovulation tests on 14th June! I was expecting it to take a while after being on the pill for 13 year ax
Dtd in the days before and after, now just waiting and hoping before taking a test in 11 days!

Hi @Puppydogg1 that's great your cycles have come regular so quickly! You might get 1st time lucky! It's been 3 months since I stopped the pill and still no regular pattern. But think I will use opks next cycle to help.
