BFP after MC

Hi everyone,

So I took a FRER this morning as AF due tomorrow and it looks like a BFP. A few years ago me and DH had an early MC and it really hit me hard so while I'm excited I'm also pretty scared. Any reassurance would be appreciated. Attached pic of BFP as I can't quite believe it.

Morning everyone. Feeling good today thanks. My symptoms returned gradually during the day. Must remind myself that symptoms fluctuate and that's normal! I have tender boobs, mild nausea and small twinges in pelvis and back. Plus major tiredness and lots of early nights!
I haven't booked the scan yet (too nervous to call and make it official). I think I'll give them a ring tomorrow.

@smartcarnotsosmartdriver Thanks! I just had to double check your username, started responding to 'smart carrot' Grin Huge congratulations to everyone else here too. I have to say, it's really not feeling real. I actually woke up yesterday morning with a stinking hangover having tested on Friday and got a BFN. Having come to the end of a big project at work I let loose a little in the evening (gin..) So of course that's now worrying me! My boobs are tender but that's normal before AF. In previous pregnancies (all ending in MC) I've had the hard, huge boobs with giant purple nipples. Nothing like that so far. I guess the first big hurdle will be getting past Wednesday when AF is due... Keeping everything crossed.

@kittykat01 Totally get the overanalysing.. I'm sitting here convincing myself I'm nauseated. I think I'm actually just hungry!

EDD would be between 3-6 December if all goes well. Gulp. So much can go wrong in that time!

SideEyeing · 24/03/2019 09:15

To clarify re the hangover.. I got the BFP yesterday afternoon. The FRERS arrived in the post and I thought 'what the hell.' Bit of a shock!

Just updating to say I've started bleeding heavily and so that's it. Suppose this counts as a chemical pregnancy. Well, good luck to you ladies. Hope you have more luck than I do.

smartcarnotsosmartdriver · 24/03/2019 11:29

@Charm23 I'm so so sorry to hear that. I hope you have RL support xx if you need an ear I'm here.

I'm out and started bleeding! Just did another pregnancy test and it's now saying not pregnant! Bloody annoying! Good luck to the rest of you! xx

CaRouleMaPoule · 25/03/2019 10:18

What a shame, I am sorry. Best of luck for the future x

I've just seen a little blood while I wipe and while logical I know it could be spotting and everything might still be fine I am freaking out. It's very bright red which I don't think is helping.

CaRouleMaPoule · 25/03/2019 17:12

It's scary, but it can be totally normal right through the first trimester. I think you'll just need to take it easy, keep an eye on it and mention it to the GP or midwife first chance you get. Sending you good vibes! xx

smartcarnotsosmartdriver · 25/03/2019 17:25

Thank you, I called the midwives to give them my details and generally let them know I exist and she said that as I'd had a loss the EPU would scan me but that before 6 weeks there wouldn't really be anything much to see. We just want this little bean so much.

How's everyone doing?

OP posts:
CaRouleMaPoule · 26/03/2019 15:03

Still plodding along. Looks like my scan will be a couple of weeks away. Tips to make the time fly by gratefully received!

smartcarnotsosmartdriver · 26/03/2019 17:21

I know what you mean! I haven't even known for a week! I read that the risk is much lower once you've seen a heartbeat so I'm hoping I can afford an early scan to put my mind at rest but that won't be for another 2/3 weeks!

CaRouleMaPoule · 29/03/2019 18:21

How are you getting on today?

smartcarnotsosmartdriver · 29/03/2019 19:04

Hey, I'm ok, more cramping today and I've been peeing more than normal. Going through phases of being excited and then reigning it in just in case. How are you?

OP posts:
CaRouleMaPoule · 30/03/2019 10:12

Getting along Ok thanks. Still feeling pretty anxious and trying to find lots of things to distract me during the day!

smartcarnotsosmartdriver · 31/03/2019 09:24

That's good, yeah I know what you mean, I've been going out with my mum for the day a lot to keep myself busy. Trying to stay positive today though, I always find it hard.

CaRouleMaPoule · 06/04/2019 15:53

How are you feeling this weekend @smartcarnotsosmartdriver?
Any morning sickness kicking in yet? x

smartcarnotsosmartdriver · 06/04/2019 16:23

Hi @CaRouleMaPoule yeah I've been feeling nauseous the last couple of days, any time I would normally have felt hungry. It's not my favourite thing but I'm taking it as a good sign that things are still going as they should. How about you?

OP posts:
CaRouleMaPoule · 07/04/2019 09:06

Pretty similar. Can never quite work out if I'm hungry or not (I usually am!)

CaRouleMaPoule · 07/04/2019 10:50

And I've been having some seriously weird dreams!

smartcarnotsosmartdriver · 07/04/2019 11:21

Oh my goodness! Same with the dreams! On Friday night I woke up twice in tears. It was awful.
