9 DPO 1st cycle TTC
Ive been having headaches for yhe last 4-5 days..tend to last all day , could this be a pregnancy symptom? I dont normall get them with pms.. anyone got any tipa to relieve them? Paracetamol takes the edge off a bit but trying not to take too much of that.

Well doc was very helpful....nhs have cut back on testimg so wont test me for pcos just yet. Said to take a HPT again at the weekend. And that stress may be preventing my period if im not pregnant and that i should be patient 😕

OP posts:
Peachypusheen · 13/04/2019 10:08

Well 10 HPTs later i can say definitely not pregnant. So for some reason my AF didnt arrive now 22 days late so guessing ive skipped it and now just waiting for the next one. Not a great 1st cycle TTC but oh well fingers crossed for next cycle.

Either of you had any luck with yours? Xx

Rosie2531 · 13/04/2019 10:25

@Peachypusheen At least you know now. Gutting for you though :( hopefully your cycle goes back to normal soon!

Still nothing much here for me. Docs lost my urine sample so have to drop another in on Monday for lab analysis. Still no af. Still not feeling great. Have had some faint lines but nothing conclusive.

Peachypusheen · 13/04/2019 11:17

@Rosie2531 yeah atleast i know now..im wondering if its stress as its been horrid with work past few months. Ive just quit my job and started a new one thats a bit different and a nicer enviroment. so hopefully things will settle with me. The cramps are back so hoping thats a sign AF is on her way.

Stupid docs for losing your sample!. So frustrating

OP posts:
Rosie2531 · 13/04/2019 12:10

@Peachypusheen Could we'll have been stress as that can be a major factor. Take care of yourself! Hopefully you can ttc this month without issue.

Yeah, I'm pretty pissed, pardon the pun! Hopefully have results but on Tuesday though if they don't lose it this time!

Peachypusheen · 14/04/2019 10:31

Yeah hopefully, fingers crossed for you. Really hope those faint lines are some good news for you x

Im trying not to think bout it too much until AF starts again. Ive switched off the ovulation window feature on my Flow calendar to stop me thinking about it so much. But now everywhere i go all i can see is babies, pushchairs and pregnant women haha. Trying not to be bitter cuz im not that kind of person, i just want it so much.

OP posts:
Peachypusheen · 20/04/2019 10:50

Had more spotting this week...ive noticed a trend (lots of number to follow haha)

Last AF started 4th feb ...23 days later i had the first occurance of spotting on 26th feb ..... then more spotting on 21st march, 24 days after the last lot of spotting..... now i had more spotting on the 15th march 25 days after the last lot.

Not sure what to make of this as ive still not had AF properly but each time the spotting has occured its had all of the AF symptoms i normally get.

Could the spotting actually be AF? I know average cycle is around 28 days, being under that could explain why theres not enough to be a proper AF

OP posts:
Peachypusheen · 20/04/2019 11:46

@Rosie2531 how did your test go on Tuesday? They didnt lose the sample again did they?

OP posts:
Rosie2531 · 20/04/2019 12:50

@Peachypusheen They didn't have the results on Tuesday or Wednesday and af also arrived on Tuesday morning 😔

At least I know what's going on now though and get proper into it this month with more knowledge! :)

Peachypusheen · 20/04/2019 17:41

@Rosie2531 sorry to hear that. But as you say atleast its a fresh month a fresh start x

I did a bit more research and found out a cycle.of 23-25 days isnt that abnormal and apparentpy a "scanty AF" is a thing ...id never heard of it til now. You can have spotting instead of a proper AF and it could be a hormone imbalance....now here comes the tricky bit , getting a gp to see me and then hopefully test....earliest i can book in advance is 10 days from now! Other wise i have to call every free time i have at 8am . Problem is i work early mornings quite a few days a week ao getting an appointment is tough

OP posts:
Rosie2531 · 20/04/2019 19:30

@Peachypusheen My gp is similar but it's 14 days for the next available appointment! I have asthma though, so can make appointments with the practice nurse a few days in advance so tend to just do that!

I would get an appointment and see if they can give you anything to even them out?

Peachypusheen · 22/04/2019 08:49

@Rosie2531 im hoping they take what i have to say seriously and do some tests.
When i requested it last time i was shrugged off because the NHS budget means they have to restrict testing. So you only get it if you meet certain criteria.

Its insane to think if you do have problems that most of the time you just have to get on with it and hope for the best.
If AF has changed to a shorter cyle ill be happy with that, its the lack of substantial bleeding that bothers me because its likely that the womb lining isnt ready to receive the egg.

OP posts:
Peachypusheen · 04/05/2019 19:17

Finally having some bloods tested soon. In the meantime im drinking herbal remedies and attempting fertility massage.

Keep getting funny tummy and had spotting 8 dpo (well suspected dpo) which was 7 days earlier than i was expecting a bleed. It wasnt a lot more like pink CM . Not sure what to make of that

OP posts:
Roo3125 · 04/05/2019 20:13

@Peachypusheen Sounds like implantation bleeding maybe? I'm 5DPO today. The 2ww is dragging in haha!

Peachypusheen · 05/05/2019 09:11

@Rosie2531 thats what im hoping.
But in a weird way im worried about it because if ive not had a proper period this year then the lining may not be supportive enough.

Wait and see i guess. Hoping the tea stuff is working though. Trying all sorts to help as id like to avoid having to take medication, hormonal med tend to do me more harm than good haha

2ww sucks i hate it. Even when it ends you still sometimes have to wait longer... a friend of mine told me this week not to try ...just let it happen. Takes the stress out of it. So thats kind if what we're doing. Dont know if it will work but i have been less emotional about it all.

Sorry for the essay 😂😂

OP posts:
Roo3125 · 05/05/2019 09:22

@Peachypusheen Don't be daft! Not an essay at all! I'm an English teacher, so tend to write texts that last for days haha!

I've heard that cranberry juice can increase the lining too. Might be worth a try? My af this month was super heavy. I was concerned that it was a bad thing but actually, heavy af is supposed to be a good thing.

We were going to just 'try to not prevent' but then my organisation skills got the best of me 🙄😂

I hope the blood tests come back with answers for you! That must be really frustrating.

Peachypusheen · 05/05/2019 10:04

@Roo3125 yeah i heard that heavy is ok, means the lining is think, i suppose the fact you were late would have contributed to that.

Docs convinced that if i lose wieght then AF will appear again. Which is good advice, except when its so difficult to lose weight. Hoping the blood tests will come back and prove its difficult cuz i get alot of unwanted advice and people dont believe me when i say ive tried that and it doesnt really work. They all seem to think i dont try hard enough haha. Bur either way being referred to weight management which i know is a good thing but finding it a bit hard to accept that i need as i dont feel im that big. I dont look that bog but ive always been heavier than i look and theybrun things of BMI sooo yeah thats that.

OP posts:
Roo3125 · 05/05/2019 13:01

@Peachypusheen Ah, that's so difficult and must be really frustrating for you. My SIL had a similar problem and it turned out to be hormonal imbalances causing her weight.

I did Slimming World for a while and dropped two stone within about 5/6 months so would highly recommend it. Not everyone's cup of tea but it definitely did the trick for me xx

Peachypusheen · 05/05/2019 14:16

@Roo3125 yeah ive done slimming world a few times and struggle to keep it up i always lose like atleast a stone but then it stops. Plus low fat dairy tends to mess up my digestion because of the added sugars and preservatives etc... also read that low fat products actually can aggravate POCOS symptoms ...not sure how true that is. Just trying to be balanced atm.

Desperately want to do HPT to see if it was implantation but think.its too early and im not comvinced so im worried it will be too disapointing.

OP posts:
Peachypusheen · 16/05/2019 10:05

Essay time! Sorry haha

Looks like the herbal tea and massage may have helped... i had a propper bleed this cycle! Only lasted a day and a half ish but it was definitely not just spotting. Never been so happy to see AF! hoping it means things are starting to work again. Blood tests on monday and due to ovulate on saturday...

Only issue im finding is that ive been working so much at my New job ( 2 jobs actually feel like im never home) lately im almost too tired to DTD and DH feels the same. We have been but its not that enjoyable (sorry if TMI but wondered if any one else has this problem?)feels a bit of a chore ..Not good when TTC Hmm

OP posts:
Roo3125 · 11/06/2019 09:24

@Peachypusheen Just noticed your message there, sorry! I'm 13 DPO today. Glad your cycles seem to be regulating now! How are you getting on?

Peachypusheen · 11/06/2019 14:13

Hi @Roo3125 dont worry its fine haha. Its been a wierd few weeks since that last messege.... had my blood test...no issues...
Then I had another lot of pink spotting a week after that bleed...then another bleed a week after that.... pretty much bleeding every other week for a day or two at a time.

Then i got a water infection last week out of the blue absolute agony.. less that 2 day after that diagonosis i had a full on AF i was overjoyed...til it hurt so bad and i wanted it to go away again haha. But it lasted 7 days exactly longest and heaviest AF ive had since november 2018. So fingers crossed that its sorted it self out at longlast...

Oh but get this...been going to various doctors at my surgery since February about this, must have been atleast 6 visits in total, yesterday i went for a follow up about the uti, and as i had such wierd bleeding last month i mentioned it to the locum...he suggested i saw the other female doc who is a specialist in this stuff!! All this time and none of them thought to suggest that!

So yeah thats my essay... haha

OP posts:
Peachypusheen · 11/06/2019 14:17

@Roo3125 13dpo thats the 2ww pretty much over isnt it? How are you feeling?

If my cycle is still at 25 days ish as it has been lately ...i should be ovulating tomorrow (ish)

OP posts:
Peachypusheen · 20/06/2019 18:16

8 dpo today, had spotting once yesterday and once today. And today i feel quite queasy and light headed, and peeing for England. Trying not to get my hopes up but still hoping theyre good signs.

@Roo3125 how did your TWW go? X

OP posts:
Roo3125 · 22/06/2019 12:22

@Peachypusheen That sounds positive! Hopefully it's good news and is implantation for you!

Didn't work out for me. We're only ttc for another two months and then focusing on wedding planning as timing wouldn't be great if we conceived any later.

Woken up with a urine infection I think though! 🤢 should ovulate next week.
