Hi, I’m around 11dpo I think but can’t be sure due to irregular periods after coming of the depo injection in June 2018. This is a coop cheap test... can anyone see a line or am I going crazy?!

I’m so sorry, lovey. Will be sending good vibes for a BFP right quick.

Meandmetoo · 08/03/2019 07:13

Theres been a few threads recently where posters have tried convincing the op there is a line when there very clearly isn't. Why do this? Its just fucking cruel.

Fingers crossed for you soon op, and sorry for you that some posters got your hopes up.

butterflykiss00 · 08/03/2019 10:20

@Meandmetoo maybe everyone's eyes aren't the same and everyone sees things differently

Meandmetoo · 08/03/2019 10:29

I'm not sure that's it. If it is eye tests should be booked to check there's nothing concerning going on, seeing things that clearly aren't there can be a sign that something's not quite right.

butterflykiss00 · 08/03/2019 10:32

@Meandmetoo no one wants your opinion thanks

Meandmetoo · 08/03/2019 11:06

Well, I've given it anyway :)

Ill give it again. Telling ops there's a line when there clearly isn't is a totally shitty thing to do and I have no idea why people would do it but hey-ho.

Sessy19 · 08/03/2019 13:05

I have to agree @meandmetoo

If you read the instructions that come with the FRER and any other preg test, it does actually say, ‘if the test line is not clearly visible, it should be considered a negative test. Test again in 2 days.’

Pulling a test apart, changing visibility and convincing OP that she’s pg does not, in fact, make her pg. Just makes her pretty disappointed.

butterflykiss00 · 08/03/2019 13:19

@Meandmetoo Well in my experiences , lines like that have been a positive after a few days.

So in my head it was worth commenting.

Your clearly looking for an argument , you can tell that by the first post, but unfortunately I cba so go on the feminism board you'll find an argument on there 🙂

Meandmetoo · 08/03/2019 13:27

Really not interested in an argument. It's not a debateable thing as far as I'm concerned.

Just commenting on how distasteful it is when posters try and convince an op there is a line when there quite blatantly isn't.

butterflykiss00 · 08/03/2019 13:29

Why would we? We wouldn't gain anything from it and would hate to see someone upset if it wasn't.
I gave my opinion as requested and that's that.

The op could also see something that's why she posted it in the first place.
End of argument

Meandmetoo · 08/03/2019 13:40

I have no idea why someone would say they can see a line that very clearly does not exist however much colour inverting and squinting goes on. It happens though, as evidenced on this and other threads.

RLOU30 · 08/03/2019 16:33

I have no idea how you can’t see a line on the second test picture it’s literally right there & I would NEVER say so it I thought there wasn’t.

Meandmetoo · 08/03/2019 16:40

I can't see it because I have eyes that work!

RLOU30 · 08/03/2019 16:43

It’s a known fact that lines like that can mean very early pregnancy. unfortunately in a lot of cases these can turn into chemical pregnancies, which of course people would never know to be the case if they didn’t test so early. The real lesson here is to test after you miss a period.

Quite why you think people would make up invisible lines says more about you than any of us @meandmetoo. If anything, I think it’s you and the others that can’t see anything that might benefit from a trip to the optitions.

RLOU30 · 08/03/2019 16:46

OP, I’m very sorry this time it didnt work out for you and I wish you the best x

Meandmetoo · 08/03/2019 16:56

I have a hobby meaning my eyesight has to be pretty much 20/20 without the need for glasses and my last eye test funnily enough was a month ago so my eyes are cool thanks!

Maternitynurse16 · 08/03/2019 17:06

I feel like this has got out of hands. It’s a matter of opinion which in fact I asked for. Wether a line is there or not doesn’t make the end result any less painful. I’m sad that this thread has come to this silly arguement. There are more important things in life to get worked up about!
