Bfn before bfp?

Hi, never posted before just looking for a little reassurance and hope.
I took a hpt yesterday, day before af due, and a got a clear bfn. Today, still no af but I've not had any pms symptoms all week. Normally have the worst sore boobs that they can't be touched, not even the softest material. No irrational emotional outbursts either.
Have had a metallic taste, kept thinking there was blood in my mouth but checked and there's nothing there. Been overly gassy, hilarious to my OH. Fatigued and vivid dreams. And weirdly, my skin has been so itchy the last couple of days.
I've not been symptom spotting on purpose, gave up on that months ago, just a few observations. If I hadn't checked my tracking app then I wouldn't have realised af is due.
Anyone else had to wait a couple days after af due date?

@mrsmummy90 once again, I'm glad I'm not the only one. I had started to feel guilty that I was biased towards having a boy. We've discussed names but we've agreed it can't be an ex's name and I went to an all girls school where there were a lot of b*itches so I'm trying to avoid any of those.
With the boys name, he picked the first name which I love and I picked the middle name. So for the girl, I think it makes sense to swap.

So just done 2nd hpt, another bfn. Granted it wasn't fmu but I couldn't hold it in anymore! Still no af so I'm not giving up yet

Oh thats a shame but not over til the fat lady sings....or af arrives. I havent tested since saturday as too scared. Havent even got a test in the house, though i have ordered some pink dye ones, some ovulation strips and some preseed - kill me now! From amazon so will do it again this weekend!

@manycatsandallthegin yeah she's still not here and still don't feel like she's on her way.
Really hoping she don't show today as having a bad enough day. One of the pipes attached to my cars engine has decided to break. Simple replacement but Ford want to charge £160+ for the part where I could get it for less than £20 and wait for delivery rant over!

Im out. Af arrived today. Relieved tbh that i can get over this period and crack on with dtd again haha.

Must say its more uncomfortable than usual. So much so i had a cadbury twirl for breakfast

@manycatsandallthegin oh no! But like you said, you can now concentrate on dtd again. Practice makes perfect
I'm still waiting, thought I'd test this morning with fmu since yesterday was a washout but still coming up neg. Decided that if af doesn't show, I won't test til tues/weds. That way I'll be a week late and should know for sure

Unfortunately nothing like that in sight for me. Af has finally arrived but at least I can get this out the way and try again!
